Would RecommendTook more than 2 pulls to start if the engine was hot. Having said that the machine laid waste to a large patch of South Florida weeds. Most were more that 3 ft and some had stalks of 1/2 to 1 inch. Also chews up the leftover debris.

Awesome String Mower
Would RecommendStarted right up out of the box. Just added oil (included) and gas. Cut through over an acre on one tank of gas, without having to replace cutting line. Vibration a little much, but tolerable. Needed to be careful cutting around small trees, it cut right though the bark. Only issue, one wheel fell off after an hour. Found the bolt on the ground, reattached it, tightened the other, JIC, and away I went. Well worth the money…

Received this today and already frustrated. Owner's manual says you should have a spark arrestor - but it does not come with the trimmer. Took about 2 hours on the phone to find out where to order one. The spark arrestor costs $40.00 plus shipping. Silly me, thought I would be out using this today.

Extremely tall weeds are no problem for this mower
Would RecommendIf you need to cut very tall weeds this is the thing you need. It starts very easy. Hardly ever choked down while I was cutting weeds at least knee high and higher. String lasts very well and are easy to put on.
