FINICKY BUT STOUT
THE PRINTER WAS PACKED BEAUTIFULLY, AND IT IS VERY HEAVY. AFTER BATTLING I MADE IT TO ITS TABLE, I HAD TROUBLE GETTING THE PRINTER TO ACCEPT THE CODES BUT FINALLY GOT IT DONE. I last had the brother MFC – 9130 CW. I had four businesses and one at my house. Those units lasted from about 2016 through 2025 until I finally just replaced it this year (2026). I really loved the last one I had so I was looking for features that were the same similar or better. Never again will I purchase a Brother printer.
I am disappointed with this printer. I would return it, but for the fact that the reseller would charge me 15% to 20% of what I paid for the printer, simply to return it. Neither the COPY function nor the SCAN function works automatically with the ADF. In order to scan or copy both sides of a document, I must stand by the printer and flip the pages manually. I have never had to do this with any printer that had an ADF, and it is totally UNACCEPTABLE to need to do this. This wastes a lot of my ti...

Cartridge Replacement is NOT A Simple Process
The install of ink cartridges would be smoother if there was some form of directions included in the box of each toner cartridge. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of removing and installing.

Love the printer and the ease of use, but I’m a bit disappointed on the way it prints color. Colors are dull and not vivid like I expected.

General printer review after a few months of use.
So far works very well in black and white with no need to "clean the heads" every time it sits unused. Only 2 minor issues...color is a bit tepid (it does mention it is not photo quality) and grabbing the paper out of the completed document shoot is a pain since the paper ends at the edge of the opening and the finger grooves to grasp the paper are hidden and don't seem deep enough.
