So far, this Brother MFC-J4535DW printer is working great, however, I've not actually used is as much as I thought I would at this time. The output is clear and the printer works quite fast. I especially like the "duplex" feature which saves a lot of hassle manually inserting the second side of pages as I did on my previous printer. My only concern is how long the ink will last given that the printer is not getting heavy, or even moderate, use. Time will tell, I guess.

Inconsistent operation especially the scanner. Feeder doesn’t scan all pages even though they pass through the feeder

Very good printer, except . . .
It's a great printer in most respects -- very good printing, photo reproduction, and it's very fast. My only objection is that it's NOISY in the short time it's printing. I haven't yet had occasion to try the fax. It's a quite good value for the money. I would recommend it with the caveat about the noise, although that's mostly offset by the quality and speed.

A NO TROUBLE PRINTER
I had an old Brother printer that lasted over ten years. I moved and decided to get a new one. I am amazed at the speed and quality of the printing. I will stick with Brother just like I stick with my Apple products for forty years.

Great Printer
This is my 3rd Brothers printer, and enjoy the the double tray. Hope in the near future a better access is available to select the desired tray.

Best Brand by far
by far the easiest printer to connect and use. I attempted a different brand for my office and had to return it way to difficult and finally learned it had a problem that could have done damage to the whole sytem.
