Excellent generator

Got a generator like this after Irma. Ran for 5 days with no issues. Worked so well I bought a second one on sale for my daughter.

Returned Item

Would only hook up to one thing at a time. Got it hooked up to sump pump for a few hours then it stopped working. Tried to hook it up to just the pellet stove for heat... nothing.

At least the free extension cord is quiet

First noreaster of the year took out the transformer and set the scene for this purchase. Features and size will handle most any home needs and a heavy duty 25’ four plug extension cord was a nice bonus. Holds 7 gallons and under light to moderate load it ran all day without refueling. Came with oil, but instructions (and common sense) told me to buy a quart to have on hand to top off if necessary. Works GREAT!!

This is a great!! Product performed flawless!!! Really like the LCD screen on the front tells you when to "check" for certain things and also tells you the percentage of the generator your using it's great!!! I recommended it to 2! People An they both ended up buying it and they enjoy just as much as I do

Very easy to assemble and ran great. Tried all the outlets and all worked as advertised. The wife and I are ready for the next power outage.

Two duds in a row

I purchased one of these generators the day we lost power in a big storm, these were all that Lowe’s had left. Stopped for some fresh 93 octane on the way home, got the first one home and put it together, checked oil and followed instructions. Last step, put fuel in it and after about a minute, before even starting it fuel was leaking heavily out of the overflow on the carb. I’m not a fan of pulling the bowl off and checking the float on a brand new machine so I brought it back right away. Lowes...

money well spent

it started on the first pull. wired to my electric panel and could run the whole house. well pump 220,furnace 110, lights ,small appl. all at the same time.

Having to return a 2nd time

first generator we bought ran good, sounded good but it didn't generate hardly any power at all. The light bulb in a small lamp barely worked. Then we tried a hair dryer and that also didn't work at full power. Had to load the generator back up and returned it. Just brought the 2nd generator home, put it together and then realized that the electrical panel is all dented in. Now to load up and return again. We are in the middle of a snow storm, so hopefully we do not lose power!

The Storm responder stores easily, sets up fast.

The only issue is that it is louder than our previously owned 4200 watt model.

great generator, worth buying.

The generator was very easy to setup. The only problem I had was the instructions did not explain the fuel shut off positions. I had to find out by the engine stopping. However, very easy to start and very simple to operate. Connected it to a transfer switch and we were in business. extremely good on gas, hard to flood and although heavy was easy to move.

HURRICANE IRMA

I PURCHASED BEFORE IRMA HIT US DIRECT.MY FAMILY WAS IN RENTAL HOUSE SO NO DIRECT CONNECT TO THE HOUSE. WE WERE GLAD TO HAVE, EVEN WITH THE THE CORDS RUNNING AROUND THE HOUSE. I WOULD RECOMMEND BECAUSE IT WAS AN IMPROVEMENT OVER THE LAST GENERATOR I HAD PURCHASED MANY YEARS AGO.

Good on arrival

I ordered the StormResponder online from local Lowe's and it arrived the next day. Packaging was perfect and easy to put the wheels on (except for the metric hardware). The instructions were good and it started on the first pull. I have this complaint with most international manufacturers..the symbols for gas on/off and choke on/off are not intuitive to Americans and if you only use the machines once every several months,,it's not easy to remember...Please put "Words" for us dumb American. Strom Responder Generator

I purchased the above generator that I used for 2 day, and it performed flawlessly.

Power when needed

Thankful we didn't have to use it this time, knowing that I will have power when needed, not waiting on the electric company to restore electricity is a big relief. Last storm we were without power for 7 days, never again. Only wish you would include the 4 prong plug in the box.

Very disappointed.

I would have given 1 star but Lowe's customer service gave me a refund quickly despite the circumstances in Florida after Irma. Unit ran for 2 hours and quit during the storm. The following day I tried it again and the pull cord failed. Not exactly what I thought $850 dollars would get you. Gonna try another manufacturer.

Great but minor design flaw.

After doing the initial 5 hour run and changing the oil, I found 2 minor flaws but improvised work around. The oil drain plug can only be manipulated with a 12 mm wrench. The wheel is in the way to use a socket. Also someone used a powered wrench to seat the drain plug, additional mechanical encouragement was needed to break the seat loose. Secondly upon removing the oil plug the first couple of seconds of flow are against the unit fram, creating a wonderful mess.

It's Legit

Runs everything you want (not a whole home unit) but will totally power a ton. I had 2 window units (6k) Fridge, TV, DVD player, Lamps, Garage door opener, Internet (router/modem) and available power for my coffee maker, toaster and Microwave without unplugging anything else....Never went above 55 usage...convenient gauge will tell you!I did maintain the unit with 100% compliance to the maintenance schedule....again unit will tell you!! I'm a HONDA guy, but this generator is LEGIT!

Ran great

Used the generator to survive 4 days of power outage due to hurricane Irma and it ran great. No problems. Easy to self service.

Runs like a champ

I bought this a few days before Hurricane Irma hit Florida. It was the only generator brand and style Lowes had left. I was thrilled with it. It ran everything but my air conditioner and stove. I thought it was fuel efficient and had plenty of power.
