Bad weld

Bought this generator on 10/17/19 removed from box and put wheels on it, as soon as i lifted handle the wheel fell right off. The tube that was supposed to be welded to the frame was only held by half a tack weld. Took back to store was told they couldnt do anything in a one day old purchase and i should weld it back on my self but it would void the whole warrentee on the machine if i did. The engine runs fine and so does the generator but the frame is junk.

Thanks to Lowe's they were open right after Dorian hit and we were able to purchase our generator. We were so thankful they were open and had the generator we wanted available. Thank you Lowe's for for taking care of our family!!

Generator review during hurricane

Got this system after using a smaller version last year, which needed had every two hours. This new system was superior in every way, 6 - 120 plugs, capable of windows ac, 2 hours on 1ga of gas, the stated out of the box after putting in gas on the first pull!! Quiet, and easy to move. Great machine!!

Perfect Wattage for the amount of voltage that I needed it for. A refrigerator, coffee maker, flipping between the washer and dryer, 2 TVs and a few lights and fans. Very heavy duty (material)and will sustain any type of damage to it (like accidently dropping it- it has a very good casing), I am not sure it is water resistant (sealed) not proof, but I would not test it either. Awesome Product

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I only made a 10 minute test run to ensure it works properly. I'm in a 1900 square foot house. Powered all lights and fans in each room, tv, and ran the ac. This showed a load of 66%! This will give me a nice run time if Dorian decides to make a run over Jacksonville.

Tulsa flood of 2019

This thing works very well. yes its loud but I got power. Power was out for 3 days this unit covered 47 hours of it with no problem at all. Checked the oil ever 8hrs the best I could. Use very little. Will see about going to tri fuel with it to save trips to the gas pump.

Easy setup

Haven’t had to use it yet but got it set up and tested and it was easy. It is a little loud but too be expected.

I have not owned this for very long but I have used it a bit to test it out for my particular purpose. I use it for back up power for my camper trailer when coop power goes down due to weather, etc. One pull start, so far so good.

Worked for a while, then boom.

Bought this generator for Hurricane Michael. Ran on good gas and changed oil, filter, spark plug regularly for 9 days. Worked great for those 9 days until out of the blue it started sounding like a machine gun. Turned off immediately, and inspected everything. There is gas and metal pieces in the oil. Very disappointed with Lowes policy

I traveled to another state (GA) to purchase this product to prepare for Florence (SC stores were out of stock). Picked it up late 9/8/18, got home at night and put it together (wheels and front rest). This morning, I decided to check oil and add gasoline and give it a try to have it ready and test generated electricity. Portable Generator

Works well. During our recent power outage my old generator stop working and I purchased this guy. So glad that I did. It is more powerful than my old one. I have a small business and have 5 large freezers which this generator not only powered but it had plenty of power left to power other things as well. The only con is that it is very loud! That is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

do not attempt to drain gas from the tank

do not attempt to drain gas from the tank by removing the hose from the fuel valve because the nipple on the fuel valve will almost certainly break off and be careful turning the handle on the fuel valve otherwise it will break off the fuel valve is cheap junk

Item failed to start again after shutting down after a 45 minute run and a half hour rest. Could not pull recoil more than 5 inches out. Returned to Lowe’s for refund

More than I expected

Bought this during a power outage that was projected to last 5 days, driving over an hour to pick it up as locally everyone was sold out. I wanted to run my refridgerator off of it, TV, and charge our phones. As soon as I unboxed it, it was put together and running withing 15 minutes. Very heavy but easy to maneuver with the wheels. Loud and wheels are plastic that break easilly

seemed a good product till i moved the generator off the pallet it was on. It dropped off center on to one wheel and the plactic wheel cracked. will see if they cover this as it was a 4 or 5 inch pallet. surely someone would need to go over a curb or steps as they try to move the heavy generator in position... is pretty load but seems to work fine otherwise but have only used for 24hrs.

Good unit in a rush

Due to power outages in Detroit metro area, I went to Lowe's to buy a generator. I had my eyes on the Generac 5500 online, but upon arriving at store, they were sold out. The floor model was there, but store manager policy is to not sell floor models until all other units are sold. I needed a generator in a rush so I couldn't do much but buy this Brings 6250 which was a hundred bucks more and only units left in store.
