Excellent addition to your Dremel arsenal

Great solution for cut of disks and sanding wheels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always had trouble with the screws on the traditional mandrel. They would either be stuck or else I would drop one on the floor and spend the rest of the day searching on my hands and knees. This thing solves that problem and is very easy to use. The only drawback is you need matching accessories.

Easy To Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] EZ402 EZ Lock Mandrel is super easy to use and disks are easy to change and they lock into place firmly. I can't speak to long term or heavy use, but the design seems sound. Much easier to use and sturdier than the screw-in-place piece.

Simple quick twist lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With quick push down twist method it allows for an easy head replacement. It holds securely and it feels very durable. It definitely held up well from cutting plastic and metal. Extremely satisfied with this product.

Convenient and easy to use

I've never had any problems with the mandrel. The heads sit on them nice and evenly, and it's so easy to use.

The design of the collet is perfect. It’s not so big that it’s intrusive and the connection it makes with the accessory is one I never worry about coming apart.

Spring- Loaded Quick Release with Locking Mechnism

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The EZ lock mandrel's spring loaded quick release allows for faster changing of disks without the use of any tools. The mandrel is very sturdy and allows for the disks to be securely locked in place. This mandrel was used with the sanding disk to sand a piece of wood that was roughly cut.

Truly Easy!

I can change from a cutting disc, to a sanding disc, in a flash. There's no more getting the wrench tool (keeping up with it while working), unscrewing the tiny screw (chance of losing screw) etc... Easy and safe accessory

I mean, it is a high speed tool that don't seems to be totally safe, so at first I tried forcing it a bit to see how easily the attachments could pop out (Sand discs, cutting discs and polishing disks). A Necessary Necessity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would hate to be without the Mandrel. It makes all the difference in the world. There are so many disc that can be accessed with the mandrel. I can’t imagine using a rotary Dremel without having the mandrel. Can’t live without it.

Pull, Twist, and Release—No More Screwing Around!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The EZ Lock mandrel (EX402) is such a big improvement over the old design, i.e. the Dremel 402 mandrel, which required a tiny screwdriver to secure the tiny screw and the tiny washer to the mandrel shaft. EZ Lock Mandrel

Must have!! Makes switching tips a breeze!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The EZ lock is the best attachment for my rotary tool. It makes changing out the tips so easy and it HOLDS THEM IN PLACE. I was concerned about the stability but fret not! This bad boy is a game changer!

Dremel EZ Lock mandrel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dremel EZ Lock mandrel is a great tool. I do a lot of woodcarving and often change out sanding discs as well as polishing and occasional grinding. The EZ Lock mandrel works well and saves me the time/effort of having to manually unscrew the Dremel chuck, switch tools and then retighten before using. I hope that Dremel will follow up with quick change bits as well. I’d be one of their first customers to buy.

Great Time Saver!

I would easily get distracted when I had to change out my Dremel components as the tedious process took forever. Especially on small projects that require fine detail and constantly changing out sanding and polishing heads.
