I purchased this unit to measure rooms for construction projects. I tested it out and it looks to give accurate readings. Of course using it in the field will tell more about it's reliability. So far so good. For this type of device you need a good quality unit.

Best little gadget ever

It is awesome it's great for measurements angles areas and volume. Saves so much time. And the plus is that it can also be used to help with setting up my sprintcar a definite plus. It gets rid of so many tools out f the tool box.

Easy to use

I got the to mease the gym at church and it is excellent. Make for quick and easy work of iy.

Is really good product but the battery life is very low if they provide lithium battery like mobile phones is better .

easy to view screen

Accurate, easy to see screen compared to gray screen type, lots of features, works with floor plan app.

It's olny been a few weeks since I picked thiss unit up but I have found so meny uses for it, it never seems to stay away too long

Super Cool Tool!

This baby is the BOMB! I have not yet used it to do all of the things you can do with it, but have made some incredible measurements, way up off the floor(in commercial buildings), to find the 45 degree angle distance between horizontal and vertical strut supports. 17 feet, 11 3/8" diagonal distance. Measurement turned out to be spot on...try THAT with one guy and a tape measure!

I thought this would help me with my job. (Interior trim and door estimator and sales),Don't get me wrong, it's a cool toy, but unless you need precise and accurate measurements, I can't use it as fast as my walk wheel and tape measure. Maybe because they are what I am use to. Believe me I tried to run the lineal footage of base, crown, panels, etc. throughout an average house...there is to much going on with this little gismo.

The best point measure laser ever

This point measure laser is the best thing I could have possibly bought. At first, like anyone hesitate because of the price tag but once I started looking in to it more and do more research that's when I decided to buy it I didn't care about the price anymore once you learn the neat stuff it's got I guarantee it to anyone that it's in construction or anything that's got to do with measuring you'll absolutely love it, The same way I did. Fantastic tool

I bought this a few weeks ago to lay out fence lines on my property. Since then I've used it to do some carpentry work at my sister's house.

Does everything I need

It Works well in all situations and it is reliable.

Unable to set defaults to usable settings.

The default setting is not usable for measuring. You can't set the defaults so every time you use the device you need to set it to a usable setting. You can't set it to full-time-laser at all. The drawing software is terrible. The Bluetooth connection needs to be re-established every time the glm or the connected device goes to sleep.

The GLM 50 is a very portable distance finder that can fit right in your pocket. For a compact laser distance finder its packed with some great features. Great tool

I bought mine almost two years ago. After a month something went wrong, so they replaced it since it was under warranty. Since then the replacement has been perfect. It's SO accurate. The original generic batteries that it came with finally gave out. P.S. The cats like it too.

Measure button too hard - lack of the tail piece

The GLM 50 C would be fine if the measure button (and the bluetooth button too - but I do not care about this one) , so if the laser button would work as the other buttons: i press until it "clicks" it should be contacted and do the measure.. but it is not... You have to press it further the "click" position to work, and with one hand, against the wall, targeting something precisely it is impossible to measure professional way with this button. I just do not understand the reason it constructed ...

Spot on!

I own many Bosch tools. This measuring device is the newest in my tool bag and has proven to be spot on. I mostly use it for calculating square footage for flooring installations and really haven't tapped into a fraction of what it is capable of doing yet. Great tool and easy to use.

Great tool

I was always taught to measure twice and cut once. The GLM50CX is one of the most important tools in my bag. Speed and accuracy make planning a layout a breeze.

Very good measuring tool

This is a very good measuring laser. Very accurate and quick. The memory and in-unit calculation features are very handy. The addition of a tripod screw socket and ability to recalibrate the measuring base is a nice touch. The only problem I have with this unit is the "trigger" placement. Often, when holding the unit against a wall (especially in a corner), it is a bit awkward, with one hand, to press the trigger button on the front while keeping the unit steady.
