Would RecommendGreat basic little laser measurer. I'm a real estate agent and use it for taking room measurements for properties I list. It's replacing an older model. So far, works great, is compact and uses regular batteries, so if it dies I can replace them on the fly and not have to worry about recharging like so many other devices nowadays.

Easy to figure out the buttons... short press turns the laser on and off, long press turns the unit off. Short press of resolution button changes the granularity of the readout, and a long press lets you select your units (ft-in, in, decimal ft or in, m, cm, mm). Another example of elder abuse. I'm 75 and trying to read tiny white letters on a black background is nearly impossible even with a magnifying glass. Then, I can't even read instructions without a computer to download the manual to. I may never know whether this thing works or not!
