I am happy with the fixed base and have used it quite a bit with no issues. Not as happy with the plunge base. I have found the plunge action to be a bit "sticky". The mechanism seems to need lubrication. Have avoided using it on a project yet.

Would RecommendThis router is doing very well for me. I also bought the router table for this. It has been very well on pine, hickory, walnut, and oak. I have been using it for about 3 months now. I have no complaints for this router. The micro adjustable knob is such a time saver.
Poor housing design
Would Not RecommendOkay, so it fell off a 32" table onto the floor. This "should" be designed to take a fall. It doesn't. Naturally, it broke the rotary speed control, and the internal plastic tab that helps secure the control. Basically, this thing has a glass jaw. Can not recommend it.
The built in safety.
Bosch tools are a great tool and will serve you for many years to come. I love the easy adjustment system.
