Don't get me wrong, I love my new Bosch 1181. It works great, and does all that it is suppose to do. I had a problem when attempting to route the end of my rails for cabinet doors. Each time I passed the cutter blade, the piece got stuck on the left hand wooden insert on the fence. I tried all kinds of adjustments, even inserted a thin washer behind the left hand fence board to try to compensate for the left side. I even made a 1/4 inch over lay and attached that on top of the existing inserts. ...

This table is the best value on the market for light to medium use. Once set up, it produces professional results and is a joy to use. The best feature is the solid aluminum top--(the one I have is perfectly flat). The plastic base is well engineered and because of the hollows beneath the feet, it can be utilized to "stud" mount it to a table. My 1st Router Table

I bought this 8 weeks ago. I was converting kitchen shelves to pull-out draws for my wife. Once I understood how everything worked and the sequence of performing the various required routing it really became easy. It was very easy / simple / quick to change out the bits and to adjust the fence and the depth of cut. The only suggestion I have would be to relocate where you plug in the router and the vacuum. I would have to switch the vacuum between the various pieces of equipment I was using and...

Great compromise for a small shop

Good bench router table for a small space at a good price. I recommend getting a spare dedicated router.

Great Router Table

This table was easy to setup and easy to use. Unlike many people, I am able to change bits on my Bosch 1617 router while the motor was still in the table. It comes with two 1/16 inch guide spacers that make edge jointing easy.

Just right for DIY

I have a Bosch 1617EVSPK combination router, have used it for several projects - medicine cabinets in which the shelves go into slots, hinge mortising for three new bedroom doors (with a door hinge mortising kit), and a mounting base for a Hanukkah menorah made from an old wooden hockey stick. Decent Router Table

I have owned the table for about 8 months now and am happy with its basic features.  I would however like to add some heavier feather boards to the fence, but Bosch apparently does not provide them and I would have to replace the fence to accommodate them.  Also bought some feather boards from Rockler for the table, it appears the holes don't line up and it is difficult to get them securely attached, not sure if is the Rockler product or the spacing of the holes on the table.  In spite of those ...

I bought this and I was very happy to get it. However, the instructions barely explained on how to put the table together. The hardest part was trying to figure out what top plate I needed to attach. I had to run to a local store that had this model on display to fugure it out. After getting it up and running I do not like how cheap and flimsy the fench is, there is way to much movement. I had to add some C clamps to stop the fench from moving. After those 2 big issues I do like the table. But ...

STANDS UP TO MY DAILY USE

I bought my RA1181 more than a year ago. My intention was to build a router table but at the price of the RA1181 building became a non issue. I use this table every day and have yet to find any short comings. table is not flat

I am pretty disappointed in this table. The fence is great, but the router mounting plate is very difficult to adjust and the table itself is about 1/16" warpage from front to back.

Table is excellant quality

Product is well packaged with good instructions for assembly. My router was not on the list but found that it fit in a very usable place [router is a Ridgid R2910] .Found it to be as functional as it looked in ad.

This is my first router table and I bought it because of the aluminum top, and its worth. I mounted a 2.25hp router to it and it rivals my shaper in my shop. For the price it certainly has a lot of features and durability. Lets start with the strengths: -Table size is nice and large. -Jointing function works well. -Fence is solid. -Dust extraction is very decent. -Plug in for shop vac on table -Feather boards and guard is nice.
