Good Router Table

I just needed a quick bolt to a cart and get going, cabinet maker. I went cnc for the crown molding and trim, but this can do jointing and most everything. I bought the new Bosch MRF23EVS 2.3. Specifically for what I need and for this table. But the separately sold lifting mechanism, will not work with this model, or will the others like Craig, so beware. The standard table lift is all I need anyway. But I also have a DeWalt DW618b that will work should I find it necessary to use these lift kits...

Bosch router table

Easy to assemble. Metal surface a little rough and does need some paste wax. For some reason the composite vertical guides don’t quite align and the wood catches on the second guide as you feed it through. Decent table for the price.

Good value, solid construction. My only complaint is that the table top should be smoother.

Great router table, mostly

I purchased this table along with the 1617EVSPK router package, and the RA1165 Table Base. The base was a little confusing to install, but I got it figured out by following the base instructions carefully. There are strange issues with the table, though. The first is the base plate: there is a hole ground so close to the collet opening as to actually create a depression in the hole; it may not cause any issues, but seems odd in that it does not match any pictures in the manual. Disappointed

Purchased a Bosch 1hp variable speed router which was expressed as a good starter router for a beginner like me. Was very happy with the router and results and thought I would step up my game purchasing the Bosch table as well. The directions for setting up the table are poorly written and after figuring out how to level the mounting table,I then learned after reading the specs on this site my router is not compatible. Nice table..

Nice table.. just plan on 2+ hours of putting it together and setting it up after just buying it. Not a big deal but just plan on it in case you think you are getting it and going home and right away using it.

Bosch Adjustable Router Table

I bought this for my grandson. He absolutely loves it. He makes beautiful handcrafted items, mostly from barnwood. He made me a lovely corner table with all kinds of fancy work. Couldn't have done it without the router table.

Router Table w/aluminum top

I read reviews about this router table and they said some routers didn't fit the router plate. I thought owning a Bosch 1617 router that all the holes would match the base as this was the reason I purchased the Bosch table. Unfortunately the plat only had drill holes for 2 of the 4 screws but luckily the were across from each other so the router mounted solidly. I'm a hobbyist and this table does the trick for me. Nice and sturdy and works as you'd want it to.

Great Portable Table

I needed something I could move easily and yet sturdy enough to handle demanding jobs. This table is perfect in both respects.

Best Table I Have Ever Owned

I do basic craft and hobby woodwork, plaques, picture frames, fly tying tables, along with some small furniture. I have found the RA1181 to be the most stable easy to use table based on my past 20 years experience. The aluminum table is smooth and flat, the fence adjusts easy and allows for easy depth to the bit adjustments.

Have had this over a year. I'm not a professional and do not use it much, but for what I have needed it has worked. Changing bits is a chore and I felt it should have came with a dust hose connection (I made one out of a paint can cap). Do not expect too much precision, it's not for professionals. It will work for what I need and I would recommend it to low level hobbyists.

Just started using this table. Pretty impressed so far. With my new Bosch 2.3 hp router, it does great!

Setup

I haven't used it much yet but what I have done so far I am really pleased. The ease of setting up your task and the quality of the end work.

I've built my own heavy-duty router table into the side hole of my Bosch table saw.. and while pretty cool, the RA1181 is just really nice. Next is to put some maple or oak strips along the edges to make it a tad larger for more support.. and nice thing is, the table has bolt openings for just that purpose. : )

Wide miter slot

It would be nice if it came with a miter to fit the too wide a slot to be useful for any other miter. The slot is a fat 13/16 which makes it useless.

Great Features

I can't begin to tell you how satisfied I am with this Router Table. I bought it the Bosch 1617EVS Router and Table Base for the 1617 Router. They perform completely up to my expectations. The Router table was easy to assemble and the quality is great. If hands down beats my previous table and I expect many good years of use.
