Would RecommendGreat general purpose router, well built and reliable. I own 3 of these sets, the oldest of which is 20 years old and still going strong. The plunge base is intuitive and solid; no slop as it moves up and down. The fixed base is OK. I rarely use a fixed base on this size router. I used it in my first router table, it's so so. Fine for light work, but you really need a 3hp router for a table. Overall, this would be my first pick if you're only going to have 1 router.

this router has one major flaw, a deal breaker.
Would Not RecommendThis router has been out for ages now, and Bosch has never addressed one major design flaw. the micro adjustment when the router is in a router table easily malfunctions making the router a major pain in the butt to use. I purchased this router about a month ago and returned it today for DeWalt. They should really update this router to fix that flaw. very bad business for DeWalt. 5 stars for Lowe's making the return painless.
