No instructions

There are no instructions anywhere. Nothing in the main box or the drain box and nothing on the MAAX website at all. The only thing on the Lowe's website is no help at all with the drain. You would think there would be a video on the company website and/or a place to download a POF of the instruction. NOTHING. Very frustrating.

Gets the job done for my cabin

Pros: price, no mortar needed; Cons: no directions for drain installation, poor directions for installing pan (calls for 2x4 stringers, but doing so would put the pan off the floor). I ended up drilling holes into studs through the top lip of the pan and placing my shower board over it.

Easy to clean and no issues draining

This base I purchase to go with the shower insert, it looks great. It’s safe and not slippery. Great for my elderly father.

Must protect the finish when installing

Stout 16-18 ga. steel construction should guarantee a quiet base.

Ok but could use improvement

light weight and easy to install. states no mortar bed needed but tub will swing side to side. no drill option for securing to studs.

Good Quality, Bad Quality Control and Care

I like how sturdy this product is and the fact that it had a square style drain cover. However, it did come dented, chipped and deformed. I had to take some extra time with a hammer to knock out the dents and unfortunately theres nothing I can do about the chips in it except for using some water proof porcelain touch up of some sort since its porcelain coated. But other than that I have it set and its doing solid enough. The drain also needs to be cemented to a waste pipe which I didnt realize a...
