What Customers Are Saying

Customers report mixed experiences with this shower base. Many praise its sturdy steel construction, quiet performance, and non-slip surface when received undamaged, noting it outperforms fiberglass alternatives. However, a substantial portion report receiving units with chipped porcelain, bent edges, or dents discovered upon unboxing, requiring returns or store visits. Several also criticize the drain assembly for poor fit, misalignment, and gaps allowing water pooling. Despite these quality control concerns, customers who installed undamaged units describe excellent results and durability, though some note the non-slip coating complicates cleaning.

Scratches way too easily. Bought a porcelain coated steel shower pan hoping for longevity over fiberglass. Looks like I made the wrong choice.

Gets the job done for my cabin

Pros: price, no mortar needed; Cons: no directions for drain installation, poor directions for installing pan (calls for 2x4 stringers, but doing so would put the pan off the floor). I ended up drilling holes into studs through the top lip of the pan and placing my shower board over it.

Good Quality, Bad Quality Control and Care

Would Not Recommend

I like how sturdy this product is and the fact that it had a square style drain cover. However, it did come dented, chipped and deformed. I had to take some extra time with a hammer to knock out the dents and unfortunately theres nothing I can do about the chips in it except for using some water proof porcelain touch up of some sort since its porcelain coated. But other than that I have it set and its doing solid enough. The drain also needs to be cemented to a waste pipe which I didnt realize a...
