Would RecommendThis kit is an absolute necessity when installing engineered laminate flooring. I was able to get the planks to lock together and stay tight. The wedges are adjustable so need to be glued or taped together to get the required gap for your flooring.

Not Good For Vinyl Plank or Tile
Would Not RecommendI purchased Smartcore Ultra flooring from Lowes and this set was recommended. It's worthless for luxury vinyl. The only useful items are the spacers. The pull bar is too springy and requires hitting with such force that it cracks the edges of the flooring and the tapping block is too short to hit with any force. I purchased a thicker bar which responds in a more "dead" fashion and a larger tapping bar which is heavier and has a broader side for actual tapping.

Bends easy
Would Not RecommendOnly used the tool to install laminate in one 12 by 12 room so far and the end where you strike the tool with the dead blow hammer bent and lays black mark on the floor. It does have a velvet strip under the strike end but when the tool bends, it leaves a mark. The strike end of the tool is not tall enough for the dead blow hammer to hit solid, so it bends it downward to the laminate. The block that comes with the kit is useless. The wedges are handy.
