6 or 7 of these are hanging on a J hook in the store. They all should have the same reading but they all have different. These things are pure JUNK !

Junk

Was stuck at 70%, never moved. Put it outside for 2 hours, got current humidity from NWS, brought it inside and still read 70%. Took it back!

For those comparing this to a digital saying it's not accurate, check both! I have two digitals and one is off 10% and other 15% just because one is digital does not make it accurate. do the wet salt bag test ( google it ) if you don't know how. this hygrometer was dead on. I honestly thought for the price I'd test it and return it, but it's a keeper. it also has instructions on how to calibrate it on back package.

This gadget is pretty straightforward and a big help in determining the humidity levels in your home.

Not Accurate

You would expect something to be calibrated when it is new in the package, but it wasn't. Calibrated it according to the directions online at their website. It was still 5-7% off. Guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this product, look at something better.

Nice to keep an eye on the humidity in your home to help control it during the colder months.

Important for hokes with wood stove

This Guage works well to display the humidity levels in the house. I move it room to room throughout the day as I burn the wood stove to determine whether additional humidifying is necessary.
