Watchdog battery operated water alarm outstanding

this is the second one I bought and this product is outstanding placed in my hot water tank drain pan my tank malfunction and this item save thousand of dollars in water damage by alerting me of the leak this item is worth every cent and more by the way my tank is located in my attic so you can imagine the amount of damage and money this item saved I really recommend this product to everyone that my have any type of leak thank yoy WATCHDOG WATER ALARM

Best security you can buy for the money

My first Watchdog Water Alarm was purchased shortly after installing a replacement water heater. Because the water heater was located in the basement and there is no way to make a drain for it without breaking up the slab, the next best thing was to install this alarm. If it were to sound, at least I could take some first steps to mitigate the damage. I was so pleased with it, that I recently purchased another to put into the laundry room in case there is a burst hose or some other malfunctio...

hard to give a review yet as the sewer has not backed up !! but looks like it will work very good !

Peace of Mind

A neighbor had a water heater leak that caused extensive damage to his home. I bought this alarm to help avoid the same fate until I replace my heater. My tests showed that it works perfectly in detecting even a small leak.

easy enough to set up

bought this in store and easy to set up but I had to use electrical clay to hold the sensors down as I had to extend the wiring to outside the closet area. The alarm is loud enough and only takes a damp paper towel to alarm. I did set the sensors on a paper towel as suggested by others on another website since the alarm will sound sooner unless you are sitting the sensors in the lowest area of where ever you place the device. Another negative of the device is there is no low battery aalrm so ...

Bought this for utility room. Already had one in laundry. They work great, battery lasts years.

SAVED MY BUTT

I PLACED ONE OF THESE WATER ALARMS BEHIND MY CLOTHES WASHER AND WEEKS LATER ON MY WAY OUT THE DOOR MY TOILET WATER INTAKE HOSE SPRUNG A LARGE LEAK AND I HEARD THE ALARM BECAUSE THE TOILET IS NEXT TO THE WASHER, THIS SAVED MY BUTT! GREAT PRODUCT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. PLACING BY CLOTHES WASHERS, HOT WATER TANKS, BASEMENTS, ETC. THANK YOU!

Water damage life saver

This is a great product to help with peace of mind. Our water heater developed a leak and fortunately we had this alarm in the pan. When it alerted us I checked and saw the pan was accumulating water. I was able to shut the water heater off and it prevented damage. This happened before causing over $20,000 of damage to flooring and drywall. Great product.

Easy to use

I was looking for a product that would give me a warning before water levels could cause more permanent damage to my home. This product was easy to use/install and fulfilled my needs very well.

Just as described

Easy to "install", hopefully works as described (or hopefully we never need to find out!). It does need a 9V battery that isn't included, FYI.
