What Customers Are Saying
The bug zapper has mixed reviews. Many found it effective at killing mosquitoes, flies, and other insects, reporting a significant reduction in bug problems. However, some were disappointed, stating it did not work as expected and failed to attract or kill pests in their area. Positive points include its ability to cover a large area, automatic dusk-to-dawn setting, and included mosquito lure. Negative feedback focused on issues like not killing common pests, the device breaking down, and difficulties with cleaning and maintenance. The product's quality and durability seem inconsistent, so customers should carefully consider their specific needs before purchasing.

Would Not RecommendThis product is horribly designed. The two metal bundles of wire are spaced so far apart that is not able to catch smaller bugs, it is extremely difficult to clean, and after having to buy two of these before returning both of them, it stopped zapping after a few days. It has a cheaply made plastic and does not hold up even remotely close to an actual name branded bug zapper such as Flowtron. I do not recommend anybody ever buying any of their products again.
Only good at night
Would Not RecommendIt’s great at night but no good in the daytime
absolutely useless
Would Not Recommendattracts nothing. kills nothing. very displeased. will be returning. my guess is that it likely uses a perception filter to hide from bugs.
Only worked for 2 years.
Would Not RecommendAfter 2 years of use it died. Purchased a new bulb and still nothing. For the priced I paid, should have lasted a lot longer. Reinstalled my 15 year old one made in the USA and never looked back. Save your money and buy another brand.
Horrible do not by does nothing.
Would Not RecommendI was excited to get this on sale due to the flies that are swarming my patio area after hooking up the bug zapper the flies just ignore it and continue to swarm around it even with the lure or bait, whatever it’s called on the side of the zapper check the video it’s hard to see the flies but you can see they just fly around it. They’re not even attracted do it.
It Zaps them
it zaps them
Nice Bug Zapper for the money
Would RecommendHave owned one of these in the past and they work well. We have had so much rain lately we are unable to tell how well it will work in Nevada. I will post again with an update.
This bug zapper works very well !!
Would RecommendIt really works! I waited a week after setting up the Black Flag deluxe electric bug zapper before posting this. (See pic for bugs zapped.) It’s a 5500 volt zapper. It has a dusk-to-dawn switch or can be left on all the time. It included one mosquito octenol lure that will last 30 days. Replacement lures cost $.70. The UV black light attracts 40% more flying insects.
Quiet and efficient
Would RecommendWe’ll it zaps. Collected a lot of bugs from INSIDE my pool screen enclosure. I didn’t even notice the bugs were inside but the zapper took care of them. But it also attracted and zapped a little lizard. It certainly does the job.
Larger than expected. Has dusk to dawn feature.
Would RecommendThis zapper is rather large and is designed to cover over 1 acre of property. The lamp is not overwhelmingly bright and the unit can be set to run automatically from dusk until dawn (and the light sensor is rather accurate!) or kept on constantly. The lure was small and easy to 'install' since it can be hung anywhere on the gridwork. However, there is no fan to suck attracted insects into the light in case they choose to 'eat and run'. It seems that lure will be beneficial to enhance results g...
Black Flag Deluxe Bug Zapper helps you enjoy your
Would RecommendWe have a large backyard with a pool and lots of vegetation, hence a lot of bugs. The Deluxe Bug Zapper by Black Flag is the ideal solution. It covers up to a little over an acre and has a switch where you can use it 24 hours or only at night (it has a photo cell). There is a snap-on bait that must be replaced monthly.
Zaps!
The bug zapper really helps keep the bugs away. It is a lot bigger than I expected. Also, it is very satisfying to hear to bugs being zapped. I love how it has a dusk to dawn stitch, although per the manual, it should not be left outdoors when not in use. Also, the cord is really short. You will definitely need an extension cord as it needs to be at least 20 feet from your house.
Nice bug zapper
Would RecommendThis thing is awesome. It will zap bugs like no one’s business. Easy to operate and hang. The biggest drawback is the power cord is short. You need an extension cord. This could be hard if you don’t have plugs close by.
Everything Dead, Even Mosquitos and No-see-ums!
Would RecommendVery Last Bug Zapper that deals with irritating and annoying No-See-ums, biting flies, moths and mosquitos. Every night this unit is filled completely up with dead mosquitos and other unwanted pest that I have to blow clean with the medium fan, broom or a leaf blower. It's also very quiet except when it zaps the pest dead, a deadly and lethal silents. Highly recommend that his device isn't place near a food source or place where individuals are consuming food. Having pest stuff drop in the food...
The bugs like this zapper
Would RecommendWhile living in Florida and on a canal bugs and mosquitos have been a concern. There are times around wet seasons that the mosquitoes are a real problem. Seeing this bug zapper was just what I was looking for as my old smaller one died. Not having had a new zapper for a couple of years I was afraid it might be too bright and make loud snapping sounds. So upon getting this zapper we put it in a location near our pool and bromeliad garden that used to be in a screen cage that the hurricane Ian too...
Cool zapper..wish I had read more carefully!
Well I had some problems installing it because of the distance needed between its location and other homes. My neighbors are too close! Luckily I can gift this to a friend of mine that has property. They already use one and they LOVE it, so I still recommend this product.
Flies don’t stand a chance
Would RecommendWe live on a ranch in Texas half the year and due to the mild climate (and our cows), we have flies year round. This is intended for outside use, but we use it very successfully in the house to combat flies. It stays off during the day due to the daylight sensor, but turns on at night and gets rid of any flies that have snuck in during the day. Works great!
