Easy to put together. Improved from the last one I bought years ago.

Bad and GOOD

The shaft when fully extended is incredibly short. It must have been designed for persons vertically challenged! I purchased the trimmer for the ability to advance the cord versus having to bump the device. The Lowes website was extremely misleading as to delivery date. Promised within three days it took almost fourteen. I could wait but honesty about delivery date would have been appreciated.

This is my second Black and Decker weed eater and I am well pleased. The other one is still working but it quits occasionally so I just order another one as I had enough points from the MYPoints program to cover the cost. I am an elderly lady and have to do my own weed eating (this because I want to save my flowers) which covers aprox. 2 acres or more. I still have batteries from the old one and can use them. Seems to use a lot of line.

These work real nice. This is my 3rd one. The first two had a more adjustable handle for your lower grip which I liked better. Also this came with 2 1.5AH (Amp Hour) batteries. Some of my other B&D's came with 2.0AH batteries. They last longer on the trimmer so I use those and keep the 1.5 for less used tools.

Battery life

Run time on the battery is only 15 minutes. Impossible to get your work done

Light use only

Had I done better research, I would have bought the 40-Volt version. Compared to my previous gas weed eater, this one felt like it had the power of a pair of nail scissors, and I needed both batteries to cover the perimeter of my 0.22-acre lot. Fortunately, most is grass and not brush which I doubt it would be able to cut at all. On the plus side, the trimmer is relatively light and easier to start than its predecessor. It was also easy to assemble.

I like that the line/string can be advanced with the push if a button.

The battery life could be longer, otherwise great.

Everything about this tool was great and easy to use including the price, except the battery life.

I finally found a weedeater that I can use! At only 6.5 lbs, it works great on removing weeds from around my raised beds, trees and ditches. Although the 2 batteries that came with it run for about 20-25 minutes each, it gets the job done before I run out of gas. Great for small framed older women!
