leaks badly

this is our second of this type of mailbox. Only reason we bought a second one was our HOA has only approved this type of mailbox. Our first one leaking from the top, and so does this one. I will start by saying I absolutely love the idea of this mail box. Our first one was supurb. It got taken out by a propane delivery truck. We had the new mailbox (identiaclal style) cemented in a few more feet away from where the orignal box was so we could spare it from the first's fate. We originally felt our sprinkler may be hitting the mail box so we changed out the heads on our sprinklers by the mailbox. Improved Curb Appeal for the House

This kit a a very reasonable has done much to spruce up the appearance of our house from the curb and will help when we sell our house in few years. I like the fact that I can get my mail from my driveway instead of the street. I have already purchased another for my daughter.

Installed in 30 minutes with quick set cement, Looks great.

This mail box is very secure and looks good in front of your house , it’s take too much effort to secure it to the ground.

Great looking mailbox!

Mailbox looks great at our new house. Mounted on small pad I poured and it’s solid as a rock. Easy to assemble. Cannot mount over 4x4, post is not that large.

Large and sturdy box

This is exactly what we were looking for. Does the job to keep unwanted hands out, yet still holds a large amount of mail. Was easy to install too, but you'll need a few more parts to anchor to cement

Remember that it’s aluminum, not steel

This is a lovely mailbox, but the first one I received was broken in a way that clearly happened during the pouring of the metal into the mold. It is aluminum, not steel, so this will be lighter than you might anticipate. That said, it is a beautiful box that will add a touch of elegance to any house. They even included the mounting hardware for the concrete, which was unexpected and awesome.

This was an easy assembly, well made, very nice looking mailbox. It keeps the mail dry and has a great lock box to keep others out of the mail. The price was great for this mailbox and I would buy it again!

Beautiful mailbox

The only issue is that it is a 2 person job to put together, otherwise it's stunning well made mailbox.

Attractive Mailbox poor quality base & pedestal

I love the look and style of my new mailbox, but the pedestal and base are of poor quality (could be made of a little thinker material) a little to thin for my liking and the cost of this pedestal mailbox. Also could have come with better nuts, washers, screws, and much much stronger anchors for the pedestal base. I ended up going back to the store and buying some lock washers to make sure the rod that holds the 3 pedestal parts and base together will stay tight and not come lose. I also purchas...

Broken mailbox

Hmmm where to start? The mailbox was broken in three places when I opened the box. Why the five stars then? Because I read the directions anyway and it read, not to return the product to the retailer if damaged, but to call the company. I did that. I spoke with a nice young lady, who requested that I send some pictures of the damage. She said that she would send me a return slip and I could send the product back. I sent the photos, and then received an email telling me to keep the broken product...

Will need help with it

We went to Lowe’s for help to order, they said they could not help us order So, we went home and finally got it done. We did get it fast and in good shape it’s not very tall there is just a long screw that keeps the bottom and top together really needs something better than that, the top is kind of wobbled. The first rain it leaked all the mail was wet. We hired someone to put it in. Concrete pad need to have it deep we had 16 inches and don’t use the screws they send but bigger ones to hold it...

My daughter and I bought this mailbox and we were both sent a damaged product. It took the second order for both of us to get a good one. The mailbox is really nice though and I would recommend it to a friend.

Nice mailbox - ventilation in bottom -wet mail

This is a nice box, but when the weather is bad, the mail gets damp. I put a raiser in the bottom with rubbermaid shelf liner on it and it seems to work. Besides this, I love the mailbox.

Great so far!!

My contractor installed this mailbox and it was a perfect installation. I was scared to order because of the bad reviews, but the mailbox had such curb appeal I could not help myself so I thought I try it. It is beautiful and I am glad I took the chance. If something changes I will update my review.
