Would Not RecommendI bought an AcuRite 01534DI weather station. For only 3 years all of its features worked. When the anemometer seized up, I was advised to lube it with WD-40 or silicone as an alternative by applying small amounts to the shaft and let is dribble into the interior. I should have known right there that the unit was defective. One would expect that moving parts on an outdoor device would be sealed. I did it anyway and as expected, the problem returned. A second application had the same result....

Would RecommendWe bought our first AcuRite Digital Weather Station six and a half years ago. It started to act a bit quirky....so we replaced it. This monitor is smaller than before, but more colorful. Excellent purchase. GO Lowes!

Went offline. No longer supported?
Would Not RecommendPurchased this 2/2/2022. Station went offline in September. October now, and support says that they're working on a resolution, but don't know when and cannot offer any form of warranty replacement for a model that doesn't work as advertised but is still sold to customers. It only affects this device. So if you purchase it expecting wifi data uploads, IT WILL NOT WORK.

Would Not RecommendSupport is useless. They try to push off the issue on Weather Underground but the unit still isn't working 2 weeks after contacting support. Stay away from Accurite products if you want something that works.

Would RecommendI live on a small farm and need to know rain amounts. I got tired of my old plastic rain gauge, had to remember to empty it every time there was any rain. Hard To See Display
Would Not RecommendMy town has a lot of wind. I bought this station to monitor wind speed but the numbers for wind speed are like pencil thin lines that I could not read unless I stood right in front of the display. The other info on screen can be seen across the room. Set up was easy and everything you need is in the box except batteries. The sensor can be mounted on vertical or horizontal surfaces with included mount. You just can't see wind speed info on the display. I returned the unit to the store.
