What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this product. Many praise the final soft, matte finish and dramatic color transformation after drying, noting excellent coverage and ease of application with a thick, paste-like consistency. However, a substantial group expresses disappointment over the dark, muddy wet appearance misleading them, color accuracy issues leaning too blue or gray, and inconsistent texture quality. Several feel the product fails to deliver authentic limewash effects and is overpriced compared to standard paints. Overall, positive experiences center on dried results, while negative feedback focuses on unmet expectations and value concerns.

Too expensive but worth every dollar!
It’s easy to apply.
I liked how nice and different it looked. Remind me when I was down in San Miguel de Allende Mexico and a lot of houses that similar paint finish.

It's just matte latex paint.
Spend the extra $25 and get a bucket of proper roman clay (eg Portola brand). There may be stone powder in this stuff but the latex base overpowers any aspect of it. What you get is just flat regular paint, no texture or lime effect. Picture is Spanish Red over primed drywall using a coarse brush. Troweling could look better but I'm just switching to Portola.
Lime Paint
Very good paint. When it went on wet I wasn't sure because it was dark and somewhat transluscent and muddy. After it dried I was amazed how good the finish looked-opaque, matte, very nice.
It takes 7-10 days to get
The paint color is exactly what I was looking for however the only issue is that it takes so many days to receive it! I’m not sure why this paint is not in stock

Did you use primer. I have a stone fireplace, but the tile install left mortar stains. I’d like to try to cover them by “whitewashing” the entire surround. I’m wondering if the folks that used this on brick/stone used primer?
