What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the product for exceptional coverage and ease of application, with many noting a single coat sufficed and a quart covered large areas. Several were pleasantly surprised when the wet, dark appearance dried to reveal a soft, matte finish. However, many express frustration that the color did not match online swatches, arriving darker than expected. Others note the final result lacks authentic limewash texture, appearing flat and uniform instead. While most appreciate the application ease, color accuracy concerns and texture inconsistency remain significant drawbacks for a substantial portion of reviewers.

I decided to try this even thought other reviews weren’t great. Turns out they were right. This paint is mostly just latex paint and comes out extremely flat. I could have just used a normal latex paint. Definitely don’t waste your money like I did, listen to the reviews.
Best results when using two coats
Too expensive but worth every dollar!
It’s easy to apply.
I liked how nice and different it looked. Remind me when I was down in San Miguel de Allende Mexico and a lot of houses that similar paint finish.
It's just matte latex paint.
Spend the extra $25 and get a bucket of proper roman clay (eg Portola brand). There may be stone powder in this stuff but the latex base overpowers any aspect of it. What you get is just flat regular paint, no texture or lime effect. Picture is Spanish Red over primed drywall using a coarse brush. Troweling could look better but I'm just switching to Portola.
Lime Paint
Very good paint. When it went on wet I wasn't sure because it was dark and somewhat transluscent and muddy. After it dried I was amazed how good the finish looked-opaque, matte, very nice.

Did you use primer. I have a stone fireplace, but the tile install left mortar stains. I’d like to try to cover them by “whitewashing” the entire surround. I’m wondering if the folks that used this on brick/stone used primer?
