d80 nightmare
I never do reviews, but this dryer is a nightmare. d80 code started 7 months after I got this dryer and I had my vent professionally cleaned when I got it and emptied lint trap every time. I took vent hose off myself and looked up in the vent with a mirror directly to the room and I could see daylight up there. Nothing was in the vent, but a couple of fuzzies. I used a shopvac to vacuum any fuzzies out and blew up there afterwards and only one little fuzzy landed on the roof. Perfectly clean...

We have had nothing but trouble with this dryer since we purchased it: 1. We constantly get the d80 message that says the vents need cleaning. We have had professional vent cleaning services clean the vents twice with assurances that the vents are clean. 2. We have several items of sports clothing that have drawstrings. This is higher priced unit and I am told that LG products are very reliable. This dryer was installed a few hours ago by Lowes in Dubuque. Piece of junk
We had a great LG washer/dryer set that needed replacement after 10 yrs. Ordered this set online and it was delivered today. I insisted on getting another LG set and am I disappointed! Nightmare Fuel
Dryer died within first two weeks of use. It completely stopped blowing hot air to dry the clothes. To make matters worse, dealing with the LG warranty folks has been a nightmare. I am going on TWO WEEKS trying to get them to fix it. So far, all I have accomplished is spending an additional $500 to have my dryer vent “professionally cleaned”. DO NOT BUY !!!
If I could give this no stars, I certainly would! My frustration with this LG dryer and myself for getting it! The dryer was installed Dec. 3, 2023 and here we are .... $300 in repair fees on April 1, 2025!!!!! Not even a year and a half later - It will not come on! I had to make the decision not to spend any more on it!!! I will NEVER EVER buy an LG washer and dryer again!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! I thought I would at least get a few years out of it!!

Fantastic Dryer
I purchased this dryer to replace the one we have had for years. After looking at a lot of dryers and reading product reviews I went with this. Swapping the door opening to open from the right was a little time consuming, though given the construction of it, made perfect sense. The biggest bonus is the built in safety features.
