These things - umm - "rock"!

I put up a 12x12 deck almost 3 years ago. I'd never built a deck and one thing that held me off was the prospect of having to dig numerous holes several feet deep (to get through the frost line) through this horrible rock hard gravel "soil" that makes up this whole area. These blocks served their.purpose but needed cleaning to be used as blocks and joists usually do no sit flat as there is a lot of concrete form residue in Tue grooves that I had to bang and scrape.out. days later I found much nicer blocks for about a Buck more each at a lumber yard (not HD or Lowe's)

Good product but wrong measurements

Deck block works for the purpose needed as a base. Product being sold as 12-in x 8-in x 12-in but really measures 10 1/2-in wide x 10 1/2-in wide x 8-in high.

Simple to use - speeds up project

This product is so easy to use. Allowed me to build deck in a couple of night vs just being able to get footings done in the same amount of time. Also allowed me to fine tune the leveling of the deck by making minor adjustments to placements of the blocks. I would use them again should they be applicable in future projects.

Great produce

I put up my shed (8X15) and my yard is slope. I planned to use regular block but afraid the base will slide. Build cement pole is a hard work. I googled and saw some one used this product for same problem of slope yard. I tried it and was happy with it. I will lock the frame by the cross lanes on the top of the brick.

these are great for your building projects.

Just level these in the ground and away you go. Super simple to use. Some clean-up required for little mold defects but not surprising from mass produced concrete. I will use these for all my out door projects and recommend them for yours as well.

These are very heavy.

For some reason, home depot doesn't carry these so I bought them at lowes. The order-online-pick-up-in-store option was great. These are very heavy and they had them all loaded onto a cart for me when I arrived in the store. They do the job they're designed to do and they are very heavy. I will reiterate that they weigh a lot and I did not like carrying them at all.
