Ratings & Reviews for ZLINE KITCHEN & BATH 36 inch Ducted 400-CFM Copper Island Range Hood

Outstanding customer service

I bought this range hood 2 years ago. A few months after getting it the lights would only flash continually when you turned them on. It was impossible to use the lights for cooking because the of the flashing. I called the company and they sent me a new wiring harness. It was the wrong size and so they sent me another one. The problem did not go away so they continued to send me parts. Even after 2 years they continued to work with me to try fixing the defective product. On the sixth contact aft...

Beautiful and functional, with great service

I've now had this unit for over two years. I'm so happy with this range hood. It still looks beautiful, and works like a dream. Very quiet yet efficient at getting the vapors out of my kitchen. And ZLine's service has been excellent, as well. My unit came with the halogen bulbs. After a year I called to inquire about buying the LED replacement kit and the friendly person simply mailed them to me no charge! Now that's service! They installed easily.

Great island hood!

Bought this a month ago and just love the way it looks and how it operates! Ordered the short stack because my is 8’ tall, and the regular chimney was too long. Very satisfied!

Great Hood Terrible Directions

After lots of research I settled on a Zline Island Range Hood. Liked the look, reviews were good and many mentioned poor installation instructions. They were correct. You have to go online and watch Youtube videos which is fine, however the 1 video for an Island hood is very incomplete not to mention a very risky electrical hookup apparently done by the homeowner is shown. Fans are not overly loud for the amount of air they move. Lights are adequate, barely.

Looks great and does what it’s supposed to

Finally installed and once the baffles were placed in the noise level decreased to an acceptable level

Okay for Price

Brackets supplied for install were not long enough for my application so these had to be fabricated at an additional cost. Installation instructions are very limited and does not go into recirculating versus venting to outside options for installation. These you have to figure out on your own.

Motor sound

Motor sound was louder then expected. It always seems like the motor isn't suctioned the way it supposed too. Doesnt suction everything and push out from the duct. Most of the heat, steam 9r smoke stays around the vent instead of going in. I purchased a high cfm so nothing stays behind.

Looks great, sleek lines

What a great addition to any kitchen. Looks great and the fans work awesome. This is a great unit for the price.

Nice Looking

Unit looks great and vents nicely. Unit hanging brackets were too long and had to cut and drill new holes to make work. Brackets were probably designed for a 10 ft. ceiling so I may just have ordered the wrong one. No big deal. Problem was the lights didn't work. Customer service was very good and sent me a new light package which arrived a few days later. Hate like heck that I have to pull the unit down to replace as I vented unit to the outside. Not going to be easy. But it vents very well and...

Mixed Review

I have very mixed feelings about this product. Instalation, assembly instructions, and product design I give it 1-2 stars. Asthetically I would give it 3 stars. It's OK but there are some very shoddy things about it's appearance. Functionality is 5 stars, it is a fantastic vent hood.

Great purchase

Looks great! Adds to the appearance of the room. Highly recommend

Easy assembly

The hood assembly is pretty easy, with good instructions.

Easy to order and receive in great shape

You never know if what you ordered will arrive in good condition i found that it was packed properly for the long delivery. We order hundreds of thousands of dollars in kitchen and bathroom products and reject a fair amount do to defects and shipping damages. The experience in ordering the hood will result in more orders.

Hood replacement

This is quieter than I thought and a perfect replacement.

Not really ductless

I bought this range hood because it said it was ductless, but when we took it out of the box, the instructions said to hook it up to the duct work. It's a beautiful piece but we didn't plan on having to run the duct work to the unit so had to rip up the ceiling again.

RANGE HOOD IS DARN NEAR PERFECT - HAD IT 2 YEARS

We purchased and installed this range hood, ZLINE 36" Island Range Hood GL14i-36, about 22 months ago. We'd looked at MANY, so many, range hoods before making our decision to purchase this Z-Line model. We'd looked at many different units from many different manufacturers in many different price ranges in many different, but similar styles. We wanted an elegant look, excellent function (who cares how good it looks if it doesn't work - it has to do its job first and foremost) and easy cleaning. A...

Nice hood, good features

Bought for a new home. Had to cut down angle irons and stainless ducts to install even though kit was supposed to work for and 8 to 9 foot ceiling. ( ours are 8’and we wanted the hood to be 36” above range. Other than the retrofit, it is a nice hood. Love the 4 speed and the directional lights.

Nice Hood

Nice Hood. Works excellent. Very easy to install.

Awesome hood!

Super easy to install. Took 2 of us maybe an hour including time in the attic. Keeps 90% of the smoke out of the house. Works awesome!

Awesome hood design

Most hoods don't enhance a kitchen, but this one sure does! The curved glass bottom and the simple stainless steel oblong vent allow for unobstructed views from our kitchen, dining and living room. It's one of the first thing guests mention when they enter our home. It's easy to operate, has multiple fan settings and the 4 lights, one in each corner really make it easy to see what you're cooking. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is that when we have wind from the south, we he...
