I'v been using this for several years, it covers well, stays mixed for a reasonble length of time, easy to remix after several weeks on non-use. However, it sometimes takes more than one coat to prevent bleed-through of stains and the dark oxidation of old wood.

An excellent primer
Would RecommendI've used Zinsser Primer several times before and it has performed well each time. Depending on price and availability, I switch between Zinsser and KILZ for stain-blocking, one coat coverage, and prep. I have come to rely exclusively on LOWE'S for all my DIY products ... and they carry Zinsser.
