What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this primer for exceptional coverage and stain sealing, with most reporting that one or two coats effectively block stains, hide previous colors, and seal porous surfaces. Many highlight its fast drying time, smooth consistency, low odor, and water-based cleanup as major advantages. Reviewers consistently describe it as their go-to choice across diverse surfaces—drywall, cabinets, doors, and ceilings—citing reliable performance and professional results. A few report occasional issues with coverage on new drywall or adhesion to oil-based paint, though these represent a small fraction of feedback. Overall, most customers consider it a dependable, easy-to-use primer for all painting projects.

Not able to be tinted.

Would Not Recommend

Bought 5 gallons to go over yellow, green, and light purple. Can says it hides dark colors and stains. 2 coats of this and it’s still see through! Took some back to get tinted. 3 people and 45 minutes later they realize it is Not able to be Tinted!!! Tried to fool the paint computer but no go. I had to spend more money to get some we could Tinted!!!Lowes or Zinsser should look at this and get rid of the False description!!!
