Great Primer for Interior House Painting Project

This primer was the unsung hero of our DIY house interior painting project. We first used it after sanding down a drywall wall that had been painted dozens of times and suffered from bumps, textures, etc. The primer gave us a clean surface and allowed to topcoat to cover easily in two coats. We then used it everywhere, including helping blend large drywall compound seam repairs.

Its a primer not a paint.

Good coverage and easy to work with. For a water base product. I perfer it over kilz water base primer. Rolling is smooth and brushing is more even. Overall I would recommend this product., for the texture and the price. I give it 4 stars.

Very versatile; works well on many surfaces

This is a great primer and works as advertised. I used it to prime for paint in a large family room which had wood paneling on the walls. The paint helped hide the dark paneling and allow for good adhesion of top coat of paint. I did that project 3 years ago and it still looks great. I bought another 2 gallon bucket recently to use for a similar purposes in another room. I would highly recommend.

Covers dark walls

Used to turn a black office light yellow! Two coats and I was able to transform my dungeon into a light and airy haven.

Great primer

Primer worked as expected. Resolve issues with paint bubbling and pealing on old wood surfaces.

Went on well, but not a one coat application

It was cheaper buying 3 gallon bucket than it was two 1 gallonsl cans. It was thick but still took several layers to cover over dark paint. Not sure if it would have been better to spend more and get a one coat paint.

Does the job for fresh drywall!

Worked for what I needed it to! Used for priming fresh drywall in a garage, it was soaked up by the drywall and made it so the paint covered way faster.

Good hiding primer.

Good hiding primer. This and 1 coat of paint is all I needed to complete my project. Odor is not over bearing either.
