no power. Lid won't open.

Bought mine 3 years ago. Suddenly lost power. water leaks from the bottom. And the lid is stuck with no way to open.

Bought 4 yrs ago and transmission just went out. Will cost as much to fix as to replace. Only 4 years of use. And it has been a frustrating washer that whole 4 years. Didn’t always spin the water out. And lid would stay locked and couldn’t get open.

Works great

I got to the reviews just because I was looking for info about the different cycles. I am really surprised by the bad reviews. I have two big dogs and I use the heavy duty and bulky all the time without incident. I actually think that is a great washer. The only thing I don’t love is that it is kind of loud; that is true. I got the washer/dryer combo from Costco > 2 years ago and still highly satisfied.

Still Angry !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer & it works good, but I’ll never buy another washer without the agitator in it, & I don’t like how the washer I use to have let me fill it with water while I loaded it & now this one won’t let me, & I don’t like that at all !! So I’m still angry that y’all made those changes that really mattered to me!!

DON'T BUY !

I suspected the clothes were not washing because sheets never seemed to be clean and left over soap marks. I rigged the lid so I could watch the whole cycle and the washer NEVER fills with enough water to wash the clothes. Some clothes never touch the water until the rinse and spin cycle. The worst ever !!!!!

Terrible

I am a patient person but I have absolutely had it with this washer. Almost every single load of laundry gets unbalanced. Causing it to shake so hard it moves across about 2-3 feet. We had an old Maytag and never had this issue. I wish we never got rid of it. We follow all of the instructions and avoid overfilling the machine. I have to try to balance it myself and run multiple drain and spin cycles to make the clothes ready for the dryer. This machine is a massive waste of money in my opinion, ...

Don't buy

I have had the same experience as others. The violent shaking and walking. Can't get into our laundry room because it blocks the door. Can't leave door open because it is SO loud. Clothes don't spin dry een after trying to drain again. I've been dealing with this but I just can't any more.

Run for your life!

This is the worst appliance I have ever owned, the whirlpool washer. Worked fine for about 1.5 years and then it started leaking water during rinse cycle. A few months ago I started arranging my clothes like there was an agitator in the middle even though there is not. It solved the leaking problem so I thought ok this can work, then it started again and tonight I had more water than ever in my laundry room! Ridiculous! Water water everywhere! Not Impressed

We bought our Whirlpool High-Efficiency 4.3 cu. ft. Top Load Washer in August of 2021 and 2 years later it was making a horrible hopping/shaking sound during the spin cycle. There are spaces in the bottom of the washer that coins get stuck between and it's impossible to get them out. We have not been impressed with this machine, it's very sad.

Meh

Gets off balance and bounces around like crazy. Know two other people with same washer with same problem.

Poor washer

I bought this washing machine 2 years ago for my wife and it is horrible!! Our clothes look horrible. We have always bought Whirlpool products and been very happy with them but I will not be buying another whirlpool washer or dryer again. I see why it has a limited warranty. Would not recommend this washer or matching dryer to anyone!!

Easy to use

Doesn't clean clothes!

When we bought this online we didn't realize it didn't have a center agitator. It also doesn't have a place to put fabric softener, although there is a setting for rinse with softener. I would never recommend this washer to a friend or foe.

This washer is three years old. During spin cycle, you have to be close to press stop button, it shakes violently and walks, constantly restarting after straightening clothes out. I babysit my washer!!!We close the laundry room door because of loud noise but you can still hear it grinding and changing gears. Very frustrating! We had the plastic piece replaced three times—controls the spin cycle. This doesn’t solve the problem but washer then washes again. Poor quality!!!!!!!!
