A Great, Simple, No-Nonsense Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this three weeks ago and it has been running great. It definitely keeps the contents very cold at the recommended setting. The stainless-steel door is easy to clean fingerprints off of; just a little mild detergent on a damp microfiber towel rubbed in the direction of the grain gets rid of them. A great, simple, no-nonsense refrigerator.

Nice Refrigerator

Poor Handle Design

I bought this refrigerator in December 2023 and the refrigerator door handle broke in July. There are two adults in the household so the handle was not abused. Using plastic to attach the handle to the door is a poor design. Although the handle has been replaced under warranty with an OEM part by a certified Whirlpool repair company, the stainless steel handle on the refrigerator door does not match that on the freezer door. Good choice

Big Fridge

Whirlpool QC Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three days after purchasing, I realized that the reason the freezer was frosting up, and that the fridge wasn't cooling, was that the the refrigerator door was warped, leaving a 1/4" gap across the bottom seal. The Whirlpool service technician that came out tried to heat and stretch the seal, but now has ordered a new door; says it should be delivered in 4 to 5 weeks. You be the judge.

Fridge good overall but a few shortcomings.

Excellent Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator keeps food very cold, even on the medium setting. Same with the freezer - on the medium setting items are frozen solid. Mostly plastic shelves, drawers, etc. I've gotten used to them. This unit replaced a 30 year old GE fridge. The older one was quieter. On a scale of 1 - 10 the GE had almost zero noise. We must admit though, the only drawback is ,when shutting the refrigerator door, you must make a conscious effort to be sure the door is closed. All other refrigerator's I've owned all that was required to close the door was a gentle nudge and the door would shut and seal itself. spacious and bright

Warranty Replacement has same and new issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] (1) because the door had to be reversed, the now exposed light switch on the side is subject to breaking (again, like the last one). Just because they tell you the door can be reversed doesn't mean the interior light switch can be switched to the other side as well. Lesson learned - the hard way. (2) the replacement (under warranty) refrigerator does not close automatically like the the previous one.

After numerous calls and much frustration we finally got a store credit (less than what we paid) and purchased a totally different French door whirlpool refrigerator that we are thrilled to finally have received. It was a nightmare to say the least. .

Great refrigerator, but way too loud

Great Frig
