Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen5000DFc Remote Electric Start 5000 Starting / 3901 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Great Little Generator

Followed the start-up and break-in procedures, and it runs like a champ. Super quiet and easy to move around with the telescoping handle from underneath.

Works well

Not too much sound. So far, I have used it for 30 seconds, so can't say much but they insist that I leave a review, so here it is.

So far I am largely impressed, but things to note

I bought this generator after deliberating long and hard. It was a tough purchase because it is a lot of money for something just used in the event of a hurricane. That said, so far I am pretty impressed, but there are a couple of items that should be brought up. The generator is built quite nice. It is definitely VERY heavy, but I feel like there was some thought and effort on the product. I like the covers on each side and how they latch. I really like how the oil drain was connected t...

Quiet and easy to use!

I was surprised at how quiet this thing was! And it is packed with a lot of great features that other generators in the same price range don’t have. Push to start is a nice to have and worked right out of the box. I also really like that it has the dual fuel option. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great Features

Just fired up my new generator and tried everything out. It works great so far and I do like all the features, especially fuel gauge and low oil light. Very easy to start.

westinghouse iGen5000DFc

Generator was easy to set up bought for home emergency well satisfied with product

Meets my travel trailer needs

Had the generator for a week and it works great. Remote start/stop is wonderful for morning coffee making without going outside. Fits under the tonneau cover on my F150. Max height really is 20.5 inches....perfect. Only minor negative is strapping down the unit so it doesn't slide around. Manual says to only use the handles on the top and NOT wrap a strap (or anything) around the body of the unit.

Happy so far

Happy so far. Nice build. Dual fuel and remote make this a nice choice.

Powerful and pretty quiet

Just bought this. Success was in the fact that I can run everything on my Grey Wolf 26KF camp trailer at the same time without overloading. Pretty quiet too.

Product is as advertised

The generator runs as advertised, is quite, the instruction manual is fairly easy to follow.

Great little generator

Although I had no idea about how to buy a generator, I went out on a limb and bought the 5000 DFC model. We’ve taken it out a couple of times and it works great.

Tons of features

Super quiet and packed full of features for the money. Love it so far. Break in and first maintenance was easy too.

Great Features

I bought this a few weeks ago. So far, I am very happy with it. Peace of mind for hurricane season.

Decent So Far

I have about 30 or so hours on this generator so far. The remote start is extremely nice to have. It also has an estimated fuel and run time display based on the load the unit is carrying which is very nice. It is quiet and smooth in operation except that every hour or so it "bogs down" for a couple seconds. I'm not sure if this is a designed "regen" or something, but it throws my camper AC for a little bit of a loop. If someone knows why it does this or whether it is normal, please let me know....

Great features

Just bought a few days ago, gonna try it out this weekend. Hope it works as described.

Great generator!

Awesome generator and quieter than expected. You can have a normal conversation just feet away while it is running.

Generator

Purchased one Aug 4 picked it up and it leaked gas not happy But the company replaced with same unit and it’s working great Just had it a few days But everything’s working as it should. Happy about it being quiet Hopefully we won’t need it , not hoping for a hurricane But I feel better now knowing i can run my frig, freezer and other things Just the right size to meet my needs

Great Generator

I purchased this to run my camper and it runs everything air, microwave and.all

Everything I wanted in an Inverter Generator

I'm really happy with everything about this generator. For the power it's not really that heavy...and easy to move around with the built in handles, one for rolling, two for carrying. Attention to detail was taken with added bonuses like the battery charger, tools and everything you need to get it running. Has the right connection for my 30A RV plug. Dust covers are a nice touch too! Love the remote start and status display. I like the fact it was manufactured in Vietnam.

Great generator
