What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this paint scraper for exceptional performance removing multiple paint layers, glue, and old finishes with minimal effort. The carbide blade stays sharp far longer than standard steel, reducing replacements and enabling clean, precise scraping without gouging. Reviewers highlight its effectiveness on wood siding, molding, windows, and metal, often outperforming sanding. The ergonomic handle with knob allows comfortable, controlled force, while the double-sided replaceable blade accesses tight spaces efficiently. Some note the end cap loosens occasionally, and a few mention blade chipping on nails requires careful use. Overall, most consider it an exceptional tool that justifies its investment.

my favorite new tool

Would Recommend

I’ve painted houses both professionally and for myself for 40 years and this scraper was purchased for a weekend project. It is contructed well and has a two sided blade which functions on the pull and push stroke. It works so well that you can ‘shave’ the paint smooth or take it down to bare wood. It works as well as a cabinet scraper in smoothing the surface. I would recommend this scraper to a new or experienced painter.

Very Effective Scraper

Would Recommend

This scraper was very effective for removing old latex paint from wood siding. The carbide blade has held its edge even after a couple of days of use. The handle is hollow for storage of spare blades, but the end plug tended to come off, so I removed it before it was lost. The blade lasts long enough a spare doesn't have be kept with the scraper anyway.

Great scraper, but pieces get loose

Would Recommend

Such an easy to hold scraper, and it makes a serious, clean tear in loose paint. Only annoying thing is the little "hanger" cap and red hand grip routinely fall off due to vibration.

Great Tool

We have used many other scrapers, including custom made ones, for our business. These are better than anything we've used.

Makes scraping so easier and the blade thick so it does brake. Great tool.

Worked very good! I’m a woman & definitely not a pro with these types of tools but was giving an old piece of furniture new life. It did a great job scraping the old finish off!

Great Scraper

Would Recommend

Easy to use and long handle is very secure to hold. Even though I have small hands, the semi-circular handle is a little bit to small. It would be nice if it were bigger.

This scraper was so sharp that it took paint off even without the stripper.

The previous paint scraper was a better deal.

Would Not Recommend

The paint scraper that Lowe’s carried previously was a better tool. It had a spare blade in the handle and a screw driver built into the handle cap. It was a better all around tool than the current scraper Lowe’s is selling.

Not worth the money

Would Not Recommend

I paid close to $10 for this paint scraper. The cheaper scrapers that I purchased worked much better.

Wood deck restoration

Would Recommend

After 2 years of blistering hot summers, sap in wood expanded out the cracks. The scraper was the perfect tool for scraping down the buildup right down to the original paint without touching the wood. The photo shows the board being repaired just left of the tool. The 1st coat of paint has been applied, waiting for a 2nd. When repairs are finished, I have no doubt the board will be indistinguishable from the others.
