What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this paint scraper for exceptional performance removing multiple paint layers, glue, and old finishes with minimal effort. The carbide blade stays sharp far longer than standard steel, reducing replacements and enabling clean, precise scraping without gouging. Reviewers highlight its effectiveness on wood siding, molding, windows, and metal, often outperforming sanding. The ergonomic handle with knob allows comfortable, controlled force, while the double-sided replaceable blade accesses tight spaces efficiently. Some note the end cap loosens occasionally, and a few mention blade chipping on nails requires careful use. Overall, most consider it an exceptional tool that justifies its investment.

The older ones that had the semi circle curved baldes worked better. This one dig into the wood. Was removing Enamel paint on door facing.

Good for scraping paint on molding

Would Recommend

I was looking for a way to scrape off multiple layers of paint that had obviously come in contact with carpet and had built up in large uneven blobs. I wanted to at least make it smooth. The ability of the blade to be positioned past the guard let me get into the area between the existing carpet and the molding so I could remove a lot of that built up paint. After sanding, the new paint will look much smoother and I won't have to sand nearly as much.

Great paint scraper

This works great for removing multiple layers of paint. This is actually the Warner 10018 so if you search for that you'll see that Lowe's is giving a great price on this item.

A really effective scraper with a caveat

Just spend the extra $5 and get this scraper

Would Recommend

The downside is that the new blades cost almost as much as the scraper. The upside is that you won't be changing blades any time soon. This scraper stays super sharp and just destroys paint, varnish and crusted junk on the floor. I've used it mostly for refinishing wood painted with lead-based paint and is super fast.

one of the best I used. Buy extra blades since they will chip if you hit a nail.
