Ratings & Reviews for Valspar Color-Changing Flat White Ceiling Paint Paint and Primer ( 1-gallon )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this ceiling paint's color-changing feature, which goes on purple or pink and dries white, making coverage easier to track and reducing missed spots. Many report excellent one-coat coverage with a smooth, professional finish. However, some find the tint too faint to be effective, leading to inconsistent results and occasional repainting. Most customers credit the innovation with improving application confidence, though a notable group experienced unreliable color visibility that undermined the product's core benefit.

Easy to see where you have already painted.
Would RecommendYou can tell where you have painted due to the color changing paint so that makes it easier. This is not a one coat paint you will need two coats. It does look nice once it is finished.

Game Changer
Would RecommendI have painted a ceiling without the tint and it is impossible to see what areas I've missed. This is a game changer!

Color-changing could be improved.
Would RecommendThis paint is fine for ceilings. It goes on smooth and covers well. However, the color changing feature doesn't work as well as advertised. The color change is so subtle it's hard to discern. I still managed to miss a spot about 12" x 12" on my ceiling. I'll still use it again, just need to be more careful and ensure there is plenty of light when working. If the color change was more obvious, I'd rate it 5 stars.

Good
Would RecommendUsed this on our entire house when we repainted. It has slightly warm undertones once it dries when we used it in 2024, but the newer recipe seems to have a slight gray tint.

Good value
Would RecommendIt covered well, finish was good. I wish it was a little darker blue to start for better contrast. Other than that good product for the money.
