Ratings & Reviews for Valspar Color-Changing Flat White Ceiling Paint Paint and Primer ( 1-gallon )

Good

Used this on our entire house when we repainted. It has slightly warm undertones once it dries when we used it in 2024, but the newer recipe seems to have a slight gray tint.

Good value

It covered well, finish was good. I wish it was a little darker blue to start for better contrast. Other than that good product for the money.

Good paint, Color-change feature is awesome!

Color-changing ceiling paint... changed my DIY experience. Covers well, and the color change makes even coverage way simpler, especially when going from a darker khaki to white like we did in our house.

Love the color-changing!

I loved that it goes on purple and dries white. Makes it much easier to put on a second coat!

One coat and done

Valspar, in my opinion, is the best paint. They have 3 grades and this is the middle one. The light tint shows you exactly where you have painted so you don’t miss a spot. One coat and you’re done.

Painting made easy: this will be my go to paint

This made painting the ceiling effortless. With its light purple color that dries white it was so easy to ensure I got full coverage on the ceiling. Additionally, this paint was so great I didn't not have to apply more than one coat. I will definitely continue to use this as my go-to paint for the ceilings throughout my house.

The color is more pink than purple

Nice product for painting over white and not miss any spots

10/10 will buy again

So easy! The purple tint made painting my ceiling so much easier. It was also a very crisp white which made the ceiling look amazing.

Tint Subtle

Solid coverage, but the tinting was discreet. Due to the room's lighting, it was difficult to see the tint's impact. Not sure if it was the product or my lighting which is why I gave it a 3.

Great ceiling paint

Love that this product goes on purple. Makes it super easy to see , espically when painting over an already white ceiling.

My go-to

This is my go-to ceiling paint. I like the color-changing aspect as it's useful for determining where you've missed a spot. (It really does turn white! It's such a pale, pale lilac it probably wouldn't matter if it didn't anyway.) It dries to a nice bright but matte finish. I recently used this in 2 rooms, a hallway, and a stairwell and have no complaints.

Paint review

Paint goes on well, it’s not a dark pink but you can tell a color difference

Good products, area must be well ventilated

I liked how well it covered after two coats. It went on splotchy.

Ceiling White

This ceiling paint is easy to apply as it goes on with a color that dries white. It leaves a nice flat white finish that is perfect for ceilings. I have used this in all four of my bedrooms, our kitchen and basement family room.

Works Wonderfully

This product worked wonderfully. The purple tint made it very easy to see what had already been painted. It dried a bright white and instantly improved the room.

Going on purple, makes the job so much quicker.

I love how the product goes on purple. Makes it so simple to quickly paint your ceiling .
