Ratings & Reviews for Valspar Color-Changing Flat White Ceiling Paint Paint and Primer ( 1-gallon )

Purple not really visible

The purple isn’t really visible when applying to the ceiling. The paint has the faintest touch of pink which is the same as other brands. I was actually hoping this had more of a lavender purple which is the only reason I purchased so that it would be easier to apply and see where I was working as I hate ceiling painting as it is. I wish I had gone with my gut and got a slightly tinted ceiling paint for a crisp white which would have probably let me see my work just as well if not better. You ca...

Easy to use with little splattering.

The paint was easy to apply and having the pink undertone made it very easy to see the coverage area. It is a thick paint, so I did not have any issues with it dripping from the roller. I will definitely continue to use this for my ceilings.

I have a different idea of purple.

If I were to do it again I would just buy the cheaper ceiling paint. We paid the extra, and the cost difference was pretty significant to have the purple color changing thinking that would help make it easier to assure proper and complete coverage. I didn’t really see any purple at all, if you looked ever so close you could almost see a faint tint of something. Now I lay in bed and look up and see spots that were missed unfortunately.

Not what I hoped it would be

I have used the Kilz brand ceiling paint in every room of my house. Specifically, the KILZ Stainblocking Ceiling Paint, Interior, White, 1 Gallon. It goes on pink, turns white when it dries, and if you have water stains or discolorations (my ceilings had popcorn and I scraped them and they had stains), the Kilz covers and blocks the stains. I did not plan well enough and couldn't find it so I settled for this, hoping it would work. It covers okay, well enough I guess, but one stain bled through ...

Great Ceiling Paint

Purple dries quickly to show where to add more ceiling paint!

Worth the price for a quality paint

Really good paint. Like that it changes color after it goes on to be able to tell if you’ve missed an area or spot. One coat coverage too.

Great stuff.

Great coverage and color.

Great price good product

Great price

Great ceiling paint

I always use Sherwin Williams paint except for this ceiling paint from Valspar. I have used this ceiling paint for years and it covers well and lasts. I have the old popcorn ceiling and it works every time. The color change from pinkish to white is a good addition as well.
