Ratings & Reviews for Valspar Color-Changing Flat White Ceiling Paint Paint and Primer ( 1-gallon )
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this ceiling paint's color-changing feature, which goes on purple or pink and dries white, making coverage easier to track and reducing missed spots. Many report excellent one-coat coverage with a smooth, professional finish. However, some find the tint too faint to be effective, leading to inconsistent results and occasional repainting. Most customers credit the innovation with improving application confidence, though a notable group experienced unreliable color visibility that undermined the product's core benefit.

Good Choice
Would RecommendI like the fact that I can see where I've been while painting a ceiling that is already white. The pink helps me know where I've been.

False Advertising
Would Not RecommendSounds like a great idea to have a white ceiling go on a different color over the existing white ceiling. DOES NOT WORK. You pay extra for a paint that DOES NOT CHANGE COLOR..goes on WHITE..stays WHITE. Oh..Lowes will not take it back..you ar stuck.
Color Changing feature is a big help
Would RecommendPaint went on smooth with very little spray from roller. This was the first time for me painting a ceiling. The color changing aspect of this paint is great. When applied the paint has a faint tint of purple so that you know where you left off since your painting white on white, it then dries white with no trace of purple.

Hard to see the color
Would Not RecommendThe coverage was great however, the reason I bought it was for the color changing aspect, and you could barely see the color so paying the extra money for this paint over plain white sailing paint was pointless.

Useful paint
Would RecommendOther than the odor this is a great paint. Being able to definitevly see where you have painted and where you may have missed is really helpful. It dries bright white helping to reflect light. I purchased this 4 years ago, and have purchased again.

Color changing hardly noticeable
Would Not RecommendThe "purple " is hardly noticeable it almost looks white. Other than that it was fine. Wasn't worth buying for the color changing effect.
