NOT a good choice....

Light works if has 4 days of full sun and no use, use is limited to 1 hour per 4 day charge, Wanted this for front light to door where I would not need to pay to have lights on . Limited on what I can say. says something about this company, Have edited my comments 4 times now.

This light is not reliable

We have been using 2 of these lights for several months now. When they work which is very little they did give off a lot of light. The problem is that these lights require sun and lots of it. Just being light outside is not enough to keep these charged and working. We have tried several locations and have had to turn lights off for several days to charge them back up only to find they only last a short time. We tried using lights on the sunny side of our house but they just don't work. Not very ...

DO NOT BUY - Cannot Replace Battery

I usually do not write negative reviews, but in this case I felt I needed to....I installed this light 7 months ago and the battery failed after about 6 months. I climbed the ladder to open the light (which you cannot without taking it completely down) to get to the battery. So I pulled the light down, opened the case and took out the battery pack (it is not soldered in, just a simple connector). After looking around and not being able to find one I call the Utilitech number on the lowes website...

Great application

I am using this to light the inside of a garage that has no power. Works great. Throws lots of light for me to get into a vehicle without the expense of running power to the site.

Great Idea, Horrible Electronic Quality

As many who are looking for a way to light up an area at night where electricity is not available, this looks like an ideal solution. Do Not Buy Solar Lights...

This is the 2nd Solar light I've had from Lowes, after 17 months it stopped working. The manual states to replace the battery. * Lowes does not sell the replacement battery * Utilitech informed to return the light for another Solar light when the batter runs out under the 2 year warranty with proof of purchase, they don't sell batteries either. * Utilitech customer service rep informed me that solar batteries only last 2 years. 180-Degree 2 Head Black Solar LED Motion Flood

Just purchased and mounted unit. Very happy with the light so far-very bright and adjustable to spread light in both directions along a walk which goes past a side door. Just what we were looking for. Cannot speak to long term use or durability but hope this light lasts longer than another one we purchased in the past-which was a motion activated light but not an LED and a slightly cheaper product.

Waste of good hard earned money

Followed instructions to the letter. I am a Manufacturing Engineer by trade so it was not rocket science just simply poor quality. After 4 day charge it worked for 3 days. Charged 4 days again, worked for 2 days. I shut it off for a planned 1 week and accidently went 3 weeks and remembered to turn it on and worked 1 time for motion and has not worked since. Great idea.

This so far has been a good light. Easy to install and surprisingly puts out a good amount of light for a solar powered spot light. Keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to be good.

Good light, poor motion detection

This light states that the motion detection range is up to 70 feet. This is highly inaccurate. The furthest distance I can be to get the motion sensor to activate is about 20ft (sometimes less). This is disappointing, since I really need it to turn on at the 50-70 ft mark. I have no obstacles but cannot get the sensor to work as advertised. The light is plenty bright. The setup is easy. Failed in less than three months

The light is designed for outdoor use, but failed after a heavy rain. For an item to fail within three months is not a pleasant experience.

couldn't be any happier with a purchase.

this solar light system on the back of my house is a great improvement on using my yard after dark.when i step into the line of motion activation the lights flood my yard each and every time.

Not happy with Results

This product was easy to install, it work good for a couple of days and then it stop working. I bought this product to Protect my daughter when walking to her car. It's not working so I will need to find a better product insure her safety.

Too early to tell but it works as described.

I installed this in my shed just inside the door so it comes on when you walk in. The long cord allowed me to install the solar panel facing south in direct sun for most of the day (Connecticut). Batteries were charged up 3 days before use. The illumination is overkill in my shed, which is what I wanted. A lot of shed lights are good enough for a closet, but that's it. If this unit works well through the winter, I intend to get one for the outside of the shed so it lights up my small backyard.

So I really like the solar option, this was very easy to set up. We purchased two of these and have had no problems at all with one so far. the other was having issues with the motion to on operation, so far all that was needed was to clean the sensor. I was going to take it back for and exchange due to the 90 policy, however with it working again ill just keep them. Great Investment

I purchased this Solar LED Motion-Activated Floodlight for a dark area outside. It give's off more lighting than I imagined. I am completely satisfied and I will definitely buy another and recommend it highly.

Premium price for a good light.

If you can get past the price tag shock, this is a good light. Solar panel charges great, light is fairly bright, plenty of solar panel wire, motion sensor is good. Down sides.. mounting screws are cheap, needs charged for four (4) days before you can use, severely over priced, cannot change the battery, only has two time settings - 1 & 3 minute, no sensitivity setting for motion sensor. Not what I needed

I have an elderly collie who is nearly blind. I bought this light to illuminate the back porch steps and deck brightly so she could make her way in and out easily at twilight. The light is fully charged, shines brightly (an amazing amount of light, actually), but only activates maybe four or five times then quits. Manually resetting it gets a few more activations, perhaps a total of ten minutes' worth of light. For the price, I expected a little better than that. I won't buy this model again. ...
