What Customers Are Saying
The Utilitech TT-30P 30-amp plug has mixed reviews. Some users found it affordable and easy to install, but the majority reported quality and design issues. Many reviewers noted the plug was cheaply made, with small terminal screws that made it difficult to securely connect the required 10-gauge wires. The tight internal space also made it challenging to fit all the wires. Overall, while the plug may work for basic applications, the consensus is that it is not well-suited for 30-amp RV use, and users are advised to look for a higher-quality alternative.

Poorest design imaginable
Would Not RecommendCheap, flimsy and barely useable. Definitely not designed for 10 gauge stranded wire. I'll stick to a known brand in the future. I finished the install simply because I had already cut off the damaged molded plug. I'll be looking for a better option as I don't trust this one. Definitely not recommended. This has been my most disappointing purchase ever at Lowes.

No Problem Here... Good Plug
Would RecommendI used 10-12GA (crimp style) ring terminals to secure the 10GA wire to the plug terminals and it worked great. A bit tight, but everything fit nice and snug and the cap went on with no issues. It took about 10 minutes from the time I cut off the molded factory 30A plug to replacing it with this new plug. This plug is not really meant to have the wire placed directly under the screws, but you could use it that way. I wonder how UL tested it?
Poorly designed
Would Not RecommendVery difficult to fit 10 wire in it like everyone else said.

Good replacement plug
Would RecommendThis plug was easy to install if your corresponding wires are cut to the right length. I used this to replace a TT plug that was burned and I had no issues connecting the wires to fit.

Poorly Designed and Awful Quality
Would Not RecommendPurchased this plug to hook up an Air Compressor and to fit an existing RV outlet. This plug is totally a piece of crap. It is nearly impossible to get 3 #10 wires inside and hooked up in this tight space (#10 wire is required for 30 amp - 240 volt service). Would have given 0 stars if possible. Tripped breaker twice due to unshielded ground wire coming into contact with one of the hot terminals. I will be looking for another type plug to replace this one as I feel this plug is VERY unsafe....

30-Amp 125-Volt plug
Would RecommendWorked well. Must use SJ cord for best results. Can be used with Romex if you know how, for generator connection.Much better than using pigtail. Glad Lowe's has these!

as it should be
Would Recommendworks fine as it should. remember to cut the ground wire about half inch longer. if you dont the other 2 terminals have alot of excess heavier gauge wire attached that makes putting the plug body back together a harder than it has to be
