Tough time wiring

Was hard to wire with 8 wire top ground terminal is installed bad wire should go straight in to terminal not in the side

fire hazard

If you are using 6/3 DO NOT USE THIS. These lugs will not torque down tight enough to hold the wire, the ground wire has no way of not touching the other prongs, the other prongs are so lose they wobble back and forth touching each other creating a short. Im sure this is great for 8/3 but no way this will work for 6/3.

Not well designed.

poor design, do not waste your time with this. Creating a plug for 220V 50A receptacle with 6/3 wire. The non insolated GND has to go to the top pin passing the side +110V pins red and black. when the housing is installed and tightened the GND is pressed right against the other pins creating a short circuit. Maybe this wouldn't be the case with 10 Gauge conductor and insulated GND.

Disappoiting

I didnt like that even though it was a large and heavy plug , it wouldnt close on the heavy wire the plug was made for. Its a 50 amp plug but wouldnt fit but maybe a 30 amp wire.

Open with parts missing

Product was delivered curbside with the bag open and parts missing. Check you items because the store obviously doesn't care if they give you stuff with parts missing.

Terrible Design

This will not fit 6 AWG as advertised. Cheap flimsy plastic allows connections to touch and will start a fire if energized.

Typical plug. Loose pins until it is assembled.

Good price point. Hate that the pins are configurable. Makes for difficult connections. Poor design altogether as ground wire has to pass by high-line pins to connect. Take care of shorts.

Well built

Well built plug. Pay attention to the strip lengths in the instructions. I needed to remove the removable cord grommet to fit the cable I am using.

Find it on your own

Fair quality for the price not a lot of room to get the cables into the clamps but they do hold good, no one in the store can find this or answer any questions about it, so you are on your own
