Would RecommendWork like it's supposed to. I was hard to wire because of the space between the plugs and screw placement on the plugs. The inside of the housing does not allow very much room for the wires. I would suggest using smaller gauge wires, no bigger than a 10 gauge and there will probably be more room, I used 8 gauge. I purchased this to wire an outside 50amp outlet for my camper.

Follow the instructions
Would RecommendI used 6 gage copper romx and followed the instructions as close as possible as far as wire length and cutting the insulation back and with a little bending the wires to fit, it went together. Not mentioned in the instructions is moving the rubber grommet halves to the 2nd deeper pocket as that accommodates the larger wire. The pocket closest to the outside is for the 30 amp wire. I double wrapped the bare ground wire with tape as it goes between the ground and red hot wire. I didn't see a bette...

too little space
Would Not RecommendSpend the rxtra $10 go get a different brand that has enough space to wire tbe terminals.
Maybe rated for 50amps
Would Not RecommendTo little space to attach terminal wires I used 14/4 soow cord and never would have gotten 12/4 wire attached to terminals.

Wiring space
Would Not RecommendNice heavy plug, but wiring space is too small for size related amps.

Terrible connectors
Would Not RecommendPurchased this for a double oven and used 8 Ga wire. Could not get the wire clamps tight enough to hold through all the manipulation required to get the wires inside the plug. The screws are phillips head/straight slot. The screws do not press the clamp down directly on the wire; instead the wire goes into the clamp beside the screw. While this product might work ok with 10ga, i could not get it to safely work with 8ga. Can’t even imagine 6ga. I threw it in the garbage and reused the old plug,...
Former Electrician
Would Not RecommendI was an Electrician fo over 40 years. This a danger to anyone who uses it. I would not recommend it to anyone
Functional
Would Not RecommendThe screw clamps are a little weak. They clamp from one side with no real support from the other side. Great in every other way. Currently using 2.
