Ratings & Reviews for Utilitech 50-ft 12 / 3 Heavy Duty 3 Prong Yellow Outdoor Extension Power Cord

In line plug

Like that the plug end was in line with the cord and so was easy to encapsulate in a weatherproof sleeve, making it safe to use outside.

Nice cord that lights up!

Very nice medium duty cord, best feature is that it lights up! High vis yellow color is good, heavy enough to lay flat on the ground but not super stiff that its hard to roll up either. Velcro strap is a nice feature and is long enough to wrap cord up tight. Would recommend!

Carries the current.

This cord can carry lots of current to the tools you need. The 12 gauge wire does not heat up like thinner cords would. I can safely power my compressor or saw-all with out worry. I also like the LED at the end to let you know the cord is powered.

Great features

50 foot cord with features such as water resistant, will not crack in cold, and flame retardant. It has a power indicator light which is a good feature. However, it is difficult to see the light in daylight. It is more obvious in a darker setting. The thick cord is a good, heavy duty product. But it is somewhat thicker and stiffer than needed for everyday use.

Not too shabby

I accepted this Lowe's Loop product because I am very active on fixing up my home, and you always need more extension cords. The 50ft card will reach to almost all corners of my yard, making it useful outdoors as well as indoors. The 12AWG is also useful for those high amperage uses. So far, I am happy with the extension cord. I find the lighted plug end to be a timesaver; I know at a glance if I forgot to plug in the other end of the cable, elimating me trapsing back to make sure I plugge...

Quality product all around

This extension cord is a pro quality cord that should last a homeowner for years and years. Very tough bright yellow outer sheathing that will stand up to hard use . I especially like the small led light in the “female” end showing that it is plugged in . Comes with a handy Velcro strap to keep the cord wrapped up nice and neat . Definitely recommended!

Good Extension Cord

Extension cords are fairly generic. This one is well made, with an indicator at the female end of the cable (where the electrical device would be connected. The only negative is that there isn't any type of stress relief at either end to avoid degrading the connection if pulled at too tight an angle. It was nice that a hook/loop strap was provided to help keep the cord rolled up when not in use.

Top quality product

This is so much better than the usual orange extension cords I usually buy. I got this specifically for my electric pressure washer to be able to extend my usage of it. I have plenty of water hose but not enough cord that’s heavy enough to run it out. This fits that need. It also has a light on the female end so you know the thing is plugged in AND working. That has always been a problem for me.

Good cord

Good 50 ft cord perfect size. feels heavy duty and tough and has a lifetime warranty, which may come in handy if a prong ever breaks off.End lights up for easy ID in the dark and power verification.

Very Sturdy

This extension cord is very heavy duty. I was surprised by the simple weight of it alone. The light up end is great to see that power is activated. I use this going to my camper and I can be assured of power at night simply by seeing the light on the cord. I enjoy this extension cord for these reasons and also the Velcro strap is very useful as well.

Very sturdy and flexible with great features

I truly like the sturdiness and flexibility of the cord. We are using this while camping, so these features are very important, as well as it being waterproof. The strain relief feature is well secured to assure there is no pulling of the cord from the plug. We have never had an extension chord that featured a power light. This is a very handy feature that catches your eye quickly. The velcro strip holds very well to keep the chord compact. This meets all of our needs, and even some we did...

Nice extension cord

The extension cord has a nice weight to it. It rolls up nicely after use the velcro closure seems like it will break after several uses but it's good for now. The ends nicely light up when in use so you can find the ends even in the dark garage.
