Brittle and unnecessarily frustrating
Would Not RecommendThe composite material is very brittle and can shatter easily. A tool hit the bottom railing and it complete shattered off. Have some superglue on hand, because the angle part for the railings does not attach to the bracket, it just kind of sits in it so any bump it will fall off especially when trying to fasten the railing to the post.

Not for runs at angles other than 45 degrees
FYI this kit is designed for 45 degree stair runs and doesn't adapt well to other angles. I'm not sure if Trex has a kit for other situations but I was able to modify this to work for my somewhat shallow stair run and it worked fine (I flipped the bottom bar over, installed, and custom drilled holes for the bars at a vertical angle). Would RecommendVery good railing system. Lowes is starting 5his line at their stores now so not enough available at all store .i had to go to 3 stores to collect the amount of stufd i needed. But over all very godo quality. Make sure ur contractor knows to handle it with care while installation. As they can get scratch if u handle it roughly. Black railing very beautiful. Price is good as well.

Well made but bad instructions
Would RecommendThe directions for how to attach the mounting brackets to the railing were not good. I ended up installing it and the end of the railing and you need to put a little bit back from the end because I have a gap at where my railing meets the post. I’m afraid to drill more holes and move it back because it will weaken the integrity.
