Ratings & Reviews for Thermacell Effective Mosquito Repellent LED Lantern for Camping Includes 12-Hour Refill No Spray No Candle Flames Bug Spray Alternative

It works

I've used the lantern while sitting around a fire in my yard, on my deck and while camping in the White Mtns. of NH. It works great if there is little to no breeze. While camping, I watched the other six people around the fire and didn't see anyone swatting mosquitoes. As for value, the butane does not appear to last as long as advertised, only about six hours. It could also get expensive buying the refills. Replacing pads and butane are easy. Lighting the lantern can sometimes take a lot of 'cl...

This product works!

We frequently spend time outside on the deck with friends on weekend evenings. We're very close to the local river, and therefore get tons of mosquitoes. Many cans and bottles of bug sprays later, we were still getting bit a lot. We sat this on the table on our deck, and we no longer are getting bitten. It works really well!

Great.

We used it to pick our figs. Did not get eaten by the mosquitos which are horrible around here right now. Can't walk outside without getting attacked. Love your product. Great price on GMA.

These lamps are the real deal

Living in South Texas, the mosquito's are very bad. Just walking to our car in the driveway, you usually got bit once or twice. We knew once out the front door you better hustle to the car and shut the door. The back yard was the same way. We added a covered porch to our patio and love being outside a lot more. Would have to spray, get candles, torches, whatever we could find to deter the mosquito's. It all helped but they were still flying around and we were always swatting away at them. It got...

Lantern does to all knowledge so far drive the mosquitoes away. Have used it for a month.

Am planning on buying several more to place in good positions in my summer kitchen patio area. Having a wedding reception soon, and will place lanterns around. Thank you.

Hands down best product available

I received a Thermacell Lantern over the summer and after trying it the first time I couldn't believe how well it worked. Where I live Mosquitos are a huge problem and after a couple minutes of having the lantern turned on they wouldn't come near me or my family. The radius that is covered is amazing. This really works!!!

Light ahead of time

Not as instantly effective as my other Thermacell product. Suggest you light it ahead of time before going outside to use it. Took a little while (15 minutes or more) for the bugs to go away. Still nice to have sitting on table without the citronella smell of a candle.

Product is very easy to use.

we used this several times and it works great. I'm going to try it on the beach when the flies are bad.

Great product!

I bought the lantern on GMA Deals and Steals, but after using it, I would easily recommend that people buy it at full price. We have a lot of mosquito issues where I live, and we were not bothered at all while using the lantern! YAY!

Love this product

I love this Lantern. Extremely easy to set up. Kept us mosquito free during my outdoor dinner party, and the light was a added bonus. My husband owns the mosquito appliance and has it in his fishing gear.. He was always bragging about how good it is & I didn't even know that they both were Therma cell products. Now we have His & Hers.

Consistent results

Have used other Thermacell products in NW WI with success. Saw the lantern on GMA Deals and Steals and readily purchased two. Have used them twice in the last month in a heavy abundance of Mosquitos. Worked great. The lantern is efficient and will come in handy during power failures. Would love to see the cartridge for fluid levels or a fluid indicator so the lantern housing does not have to be removed during use to check fluid. ( to last 6 hours)

love the thermacell outdoor lantern

This absolutely works. We were sitting on our deck with friends and I put the lantern on our table and we sat out until after 9:30 pm talking to my neighbor who was on her porch and did nothing but swat bugs while we just sat there enjoying our selves. No bugs what so ever. Just remember to turn off both buttons to the lantern or else you will run out of the butane cartridge, which is what I did. I just shut of the light part and not the cartridge part.

Love it

I bought 2 of these and they have worked great at the lake and in my backyard!! I'm glad I bought 2!! My guests were very happy

Like the unit

Works great. I have 2 one on each end of patio and o bites!

Love this!

I fought getting an appliance as I am generally frugal and had bad luck with other options. My husband had one and I used it and LOVE it. No more being eaten alive while gardening or playing in the yard. Thank you for an effective, long lasting product. http://tryandlike.blogspot.com/2013/07/bug-off.html

A very good product

I really reccomend this lantern, easy to use and set-up. I took it to a bbq at a friends house and did not recieve any bug bites at all. I,m very satisfied with this and told all my friends about it.

This really works

Took it to the drive in, didn't get one bite. Worked great. Had to keep kids away from it though cause it does get hot on the top!

Works great!

Very easy setup & very effective. Living near the woods and with a pool we tend to get many different flying bugs. We were able to setup & enjoy the outdoors w/in minutes without being bothered. Worked great!

Wonderful unit

I just recieved my Lantern. I won on the daily giveaway. I was able to use it several times with my son fishing. I can say there were NO bugs around us. My son also had his portable unit when he was out of range and was bug free also. Thanks Thermacell!! Don
