Ratings & Reviews for Thermacell Effective Mosquito Repellent LED Lantern for Camping Includes 12-Hour Refill No Spray No Candle Flames Bug Spray Alternative

Multi-faceted with 100% optimum performance!

Over a decade ago, when ThermaCell entered the hunting and fishing market, they selected two industry professionals to test product before it hit the shelves. One person was on the East Coast, one on the West Coast; I was the West Coast guy. I first tested the ThermaCell bug repellant unit in Alaska, and it was 100% effective in some of the worst mosquito and black fly areas of the state. Since then, ThermaCell's line of applicable products have expanded, and continue performing above and beyond...

Outdoorsman Essential!

I have used this lantern for camping, fishing, picnicking, and even ice fishing! It is nearly indestructable and can be separated into two pieces... 1. the light can be hung upside down for reading in a camp setting 2. the ThermaCell bug repellent is still working to keep bugs away. This truely is the best of both worlds!

Awesome!!

What an awesome product and life saver, party saver, camping saver, etc... Take back the outdoors folks and enjoy the outdoors mosquito free!!

Bombproof Lantern

I bought this a few weeks ago to take on a turkey hunting overnight trip which I would be sleeping in a hammock instead of a tent. I fell in love with the idea of this lantern because I could hang it from the ridge line of my tarp so that it would not only give me light but also keep the mosquitoes off of me during the night. I have to say it worked flawlessly! Not only that but overnight a thunderstorm rolled in and it poured on us for about 6 hours. My Lantern was outside of my tarp but the r...

The Best has gotten Better!

I was really impressed with the original camp lantern a few years back when it came out, so I was eager to try out the newest version. I live in Florida where mosquitos have a way of ruining any outdoor activity around dusk and dawn. The lanterns do double duty by not only lighting the way, but providing the protection from mosquitos that I have come to trust from ThermaCELL products. The new lantern blows me away with its features! The light on the new model is so nice. It has adjustable intens...

Gotta Have Product

The Camp Lantern is not only great for camping! We use it for cook outs in the backyard all the time. The mosquito repellent works fantastic keeping the bugs away and now I have a 300 lumens lantern that to light up the area after the sun goes down.

Another can't live without product by ThermaCELL

First off the unit comes with the same great mosquito repellant system as all their repellant products have, but this one has a quiet and very simple on off feature I really like, just turn the top and it starts! Then they packed this with 300 lumens of light which is incredible! I took this photo in a completely dark basement, using the lantern only, and no flash on a cell phone, I think it has remarkable how much light this casts and can't wait to take it to my remote hunting camp next fall! I...

By George this works!

Well, we are looking at yet another season of mosquitos. I hate these critters. This is one of a few on my list God should have thought over before he left them here. However, I thank God for the guys who came up with this idea! This works very well. The lanterns are nice looking too! I got them late in the season last year, but it was still full of mosquitos and I do enjoy sitting outside all through the year. Summer being the least favorite but with these lanterns makes it so much more enjoyab...

Amazing product

Love this thing!....saves me from carrying my lantern and mosquito repellent...two in one for the cost of a good lantern. Fantastic

This product really met my expectations!

I am always skeptical over product I have not used before especially when it comes to mosquito's. I live in Minnesota and the mosquitos are horrible this time of year. I purchased two Thermacell lanterns, and the first time I used one, I was totally amazed. You could actually see the mosquito's hit a wall about ten to fifteen feet from where I was sitting. I sat there for almost two hours without one mosquito coming near me. I'm now convinced this product really works and makes sitting outside a...

Great Product

This is one of the few products on the market that is actually effective in deterring mosquitoes. Living in Michigan, we have tried just about everything!

Excellent for Camping

We bought a ThermaCell after getting to see one in action while camping last summer, and were we IMPRESSED! The mosquitos definately are repelled and the little bit of light let off helps as well. I would highly recommend this product!

Good value and effective

The mosquitoes were so bad in Michigan that we used one on and one under the table where we were sitting outside. They really helped. My only issue was when others used them, they switched off the light but not the top, so the repellent part was used up more quickly. The light made a great little lantern on the beach though. I did, however, need to instruct everyone how to use the repellent aspect.

Best of the best

The ThermaCELL latern is the single reason my family is able to spend time on our deck and pool in the summer. We've tried other products for bug repellent but nothing even comes close to working as well as this product. When you have kids, bathing them in repellent gets old trust me, so having this helps big time.

Mosquito Repellant outdoor lantern

I received my lantern this spring and it made working in the yard and gardens so much easier. I turned it on and spent the rest of the time enjoying the outdoors, not worrying about swatting mosquitos. It made spring and summer in Iowa so much more enjoyable. Thanks for making a great outdoor product.

Concert in the park

The bugs were bad in the park. The choir was getting bit. I put the Thermacell under the choir risers and almost immediately there were no more bites on an outdoor stage about 15 by 40. Oh, it works in the 20 foot boat, too. Makes a wonderful gift for the kid,s families that have camps away from the city.

Better than Advertised

I have used the smaller ThermaCell belt unit for hunting in the past and have always been more than impressed but bought this to use on our new deck this past summer. Living right off a cattail swamp in a wet summer equals more mosquitoes than you can imagine so it had it's work cut out for it and it delivered better than I ever could have dreamed of. Might be being a 2nd unit to have on hand as well and would highly recommend this to anyone out there.

Easy to use.

Works well and simple to use. The light is also handy to have.

WOW factor of 15 out of 10 !!!

I have used the OFF® brand lantern for quite a while and have now given them away. ☺ The ThermaCELL is completely smokeless, easier to light and extinguish and more effective!

Skeptic turned Believer!

I wasn't to sure that this Lantern would work but it does. Turn it on and within 15 minutes those nasty little flies are gone. Definitely glad I got two and will be filling an order for more repellent refills. Thank you ThermaCELL! You have a believer!
