makes nights on the deck a joy...would not be out side a night without a mosquito repellent of any kind

Awesome Product

I've 2 of these Lanterns and can't live with out them here in Florida while out on the deck in the back yard and at deer camp. They make it more pleasurable to be in the outdoors.

We have been using the lantern for the last two years and have loved it. We took it with us to Montana/Wyoming for and extended trip during the height of the black fly and mesquito season and were extremely pleased with its performance. We also have the Patio Shield and have used them both on our deck during the summer months in Kansas. They work great.

Camping must have

I first started using Thermacell years ago for hunting. I wanted something to protect me from mosquitos that wouldn't sheet the deer. It worked so well I began using it during the during turkey season and was about to hunt wet bottom land and swamp areas I would avoid before. My little girl would even go with me and sit been my knees and often would take a nap! No mosquitos, biting flies, nothing! I have since added patio lanterns at the house. Works great.

I bought one & was at first susceptible. I hung it on a shepherds hook by my camper trailer door. No mosquitoes. I can't beat it. When I am in the north woods nothing works better. Only drawback is having to change the wick every 4 hours.

I’ve tried different repellent products and have been disappointed. Not this tme, the thermacell scout did as the product discription said. It kept the bugs away.

It Really Works!

As an avid outdoorsman, it's really hard to find a good mosquito repellant that you don't have to spray all over yourself. This lantern really does the trick! I'm going to get a few of them and place them around my campsite to make a big barrier. highly recommended!

Nice design and lightweight

I really like the weight and design of this lantern. I have not had a chance to take it out and use it yet but I am packed up and ready to go.

Used over Labor Day camping...worked well one night....the next night we were chewed alive with mosquito bites..yes, both the pad & butane lighter were changed to provide maximum protection or NOT!! Disappointed & we had 5 thermocells in use..

i bought it last summer for camping out by a river and i loved it there was no bugs at all when it was on best pruduct i ever spent money on now i have 2 1 for the back porch and 1 for the front porch

Almost mosquito proof

This little device controlled hoards of mosquitos while we sat outside eating a meal at a deep woods campground. There was no need to spray insect repellent on our skin while the Thermacell was operating! If you like camping, it may be your best investment you will make in camping supplies. I'm not sure if it would be as effective in breezy conditions?

We bought this right after we purchased our camper. First trip out it not only kept the mosquitos away but the gnats & flies as well.
