While the quality of the mailboxes is great, I am so disappointed that Step2 no longer offers colorful mailboxes. My family has had a green Step2 mailbox at our house for 25 years that matches our shutters, and was a great landmark for telling friends and family where our house was when they would come to visit for the first time. Disappointed, but what to do ?
This is not the great mailbox, that Step2 once sold. I have had two “Mailmaster Plus” boxes prior to this one, and Step2 has definitely digressed. I can’t, for the life of me, figure out why they would have changed the way the top and the base are put together. Now, there are exposed screws (4 of them), that were definitely not there, on previous models. Yes, they are stainless, but still, there will be staining, and why?
