What Customers Are Saying
The Grabit Damaged Screw Remover has mixed reviews regarding its performance. While some users found it effective at removing stripped or damaged screws, the majority reported that the tool failed to grip or extract the screws, and in some cases, it further damaged the screw heads or enlarged the holes. The instructions for using the tool were also unclear, and a few reviewers commented on the poor quality of the tool itself.

Would Not RecommendWould not grab hold of screw material to back the screw out. Useless waste of money.
Didn't work as easily as advertised
Would Not RecommendMight be a learning curve involved. It didn't pull the stripped screw that I needed it for. Luckily I was able to remove it by other means. The directions are simply written and easily followed. Will have to try it a few more times before I recommend it to friends.
Damaged screw removal.
Would RecommendI had rounded off 2 brass screws in a bathroom door, and was wondering how I could get them out without damaging door. Bought the Grabit at Lowes and followed the instructions. This thing really worked for me, Screws came out like a dream...
Extraction
Would RecommendThe tool is a little confusing getting started, as the directions are not clear. However, once a little common sense was used, the stripped screw was removed.
Grabit no better than one as seen on TV
Would Not RecommendThe Grabit was a little more money than the speed out remover seen on TV. Bad reviews on the Speed Out so I paid a little more for this hoping quality was better. Went slow and steady, guess what, snapped off extractor on very first try. Left a bigger mess than when I started. If you don't want headaches stay away from this or the other brand of the same design. Now I have a Grabit tip in the bolt I need to remove which will screw with any drill bit used to drill and tap.
worked like a charm
Would RecommendI had 40 year old cabinets in my laundry room that needed to come down. The screws holding them on the walls were completely stripped of their heads. They were screwed into studs and I couldn't get them to budge. I bought the Grabit tool and though I had my doubts it worked like a charm. Every single 3 inch long screw came out with no effort. So nice when something works as advertised.
Grabit Works
Would RecommendHad a couple of large 3 inch wood screws with hex heads that were stripped and needed to be removed. Found Grabit. Bought it. Used it. Pulled screws out with ease. It just works!!
First time user
Would RecommendJust discovered this product. Used it to connect copper pipe to cpvc. Not real sure what to think, connection doesn't leak but seems flimsy. Still connected after 1 week and holding.
piece of cake
Would Recommendmaybe some of you need to fellow the direction .works pretty good in my book. needed to remove a screw in a plow light got this kit and had it fix in under 5 min .well worth the $$ I spend on it
Never buy another one
Would Not RecommendTried to use it on a stripped head. Wouldn't even budge it ended up throwing the item in the trash. Wasn't worth taking back.
Worked like a charm... once I read the directions.
Would RecommendHighly recommend reading the quarter page instruction flyer. Once I did that, the stripped 3 inch screw came right out of the door casing. Cool product. I just puchased this so I can't speak to durability or quality yet.
Didn't work
Would Not RecommendI followed the directions but was unable to remove stripped screws using this tool.
Worked Great, But Be Patient
Would Not RecommendI bought the 2-bit Grabit set after it was recommended to me by some knowledgeable gearheads. I needed to remove a rusted screw with a stripped head from my vintage Honda motorcycle. First I doused the screw overnight with PB Blaster and again in the morning. Then I heated the joint with a heatgun. The No. 2 bit didn't bite. So I stepped up to the No. 3 bit. I had to burnish twice, and warm the joint again, but then I got it to bite. You have to turn the drill down to very slow, and set the clu...
Absolutely Useless
