What Customers Are Saying
The Grabit Damaged Screw Remover has mixed reviews regarding its performance. While some users found it effective at removing stripped or damaged screws, the majority reported that the tool failed to grip or extract the screws, and in some cases, it further damaged the screw heads or enlarged the holes. The instructions for using the tool were also unclear, and a few reviewers commented on the poor quality of the tool itself.

Would RecommendPicked this up after stripping a screw trying to change a light in the car. While it took a bit of elbow grease the tool removed the screw on my first attempt.

Worded for some screws, not others.
Would Not RecommendCheap screws were used to install cabinets. Many striped almost immediately. These were recommended to get the screws out. Worked on less than half of them.
First time user worked great for me
Would RecommendId never used one of these before and it was very easy. The only "gripe" I have is I didnt buy the more complete pack with more sizes. I had a couple screws that wouldn't work with the smaller drill. The larger one worked so if I had to do it over again Id buy the larger pack just in case.

Hallelujah! Door knob screw removed!
Would RecommendI had a severely stripped screw in a door knob I was trying to replace. Tried the rubber band, the drill, etc. Saw this product on a You Tube video and when I saw the favorable reviews, decided to give it a try. It was the only thing that worked; I literally sang "Hallelujah" when this bedraggled screw finally gave up the fight! I think the trick is that you have to use this with a 3/8 veritable speed drill; it takes some strength.
Grabit Damaged Screw Remover
Would RecommendThis product really saved me out of a bad circumstance as the screw was recessed as well as it had lock-tite on my car tail light. Also a hex type that was stripped from trying to remove. I don't remember the tool dept. salesman name but he was in a wheelchair. After I explained, he showed me the exact tool, reminded me to follow the instructions exactly. He was very confident this would work. Thank you sir, just as advertised, great value$.

Would Not RecommendDidn't really work. Have tried other brands but they still don't seem to work as advertised.

A waste of money, time, and effort
Would Not RecommendI striped clean the two devices. And I still did not get the rusty screw out!

Good for smaller screws
Would RecommendBought this item after having read reviews online. I had a star bolt oil pan plug that was stripped on my 2014 VW Passat. Attempted to remove the bolt. I felt it grab but the torq on my 20V Dewalt drill wasn't strong enough. When I attempted to use it without the drill, It wouldn't grab as well or lock on. I didn't test it on a screw, but from the way it grabbed, I would assume it would work well for that purpose. It just didn't do the job for my 1.5mm oil pan plug.

I watch the Grabit how-to film. After drilling the screw counter clockwise fairly far down, I couldn't get it to grab the screw at all. It just spun and spun. Went slow, went fast, but no grabbing. I might have done it incorrectly, but I don't think so.

Grabit to remove screws
Would Not RecommendI purchased the grabit to remove some rusty screws. It worked quickly and well on the first two screws but on the third and fourth screws the prepping head lost its sharpness and wouldn't prep the screws so the remover end couldn't lock in. Pretty much a one shot deal. I consider the product to be very poor quality and worthless. PS It really has a zero (0) star rating from me.

Worked Like a Charm
Would RecommendWorked like a charm. Used the Grabit #3 to remove a #12 phillips wood screw from a front door hinge. The screw had been there for 25+ years and like the others was really set requiring a higher torque setting to remove them. Before use I read reviews and watched some videos (one of which showed the remover being used incorrectly). I also read the instructions which are short and well written. Its a two step process using a drill that is reversible, variable speed, and best with a low sp...
